Thus who had the documents secured and who did not?
20 documents OMG what a Travesty. hypocrites are ok with it though.
Quote from: Blkfyre on Jan 15, 2023, 06:39 PMNone of what you said made sense. Could you restate it using more words?
Perhaps if you follow Right Wing news media outlets you can better understand some of it.
The hypocrisy comes from how Biden and Trump were treated differently by the Justice Department. The FBI made an unannounced "raid" at Trumps home. After the first set of Biden documents were found, why didn't the FBI make an unannounced raid of Biden's garage?

(two guys take documents. One guy won't give them back the other guy gives them back. Not sure how both guys did obstruction)

All locations associated with Biden should be searched. The question is should it be Biden's lawyers, or FBI agents with a search warrant? There is no indication of obstruction by Biden, so from a practical point the FBI search is not really needed now. However, from a political perspective the FBI search approach has some political benefit.

As to the comment about inviting the FBI vs. a search warrant. Trump was never going to voluntarily allow a search for the documents he took.
Too much sex is still not enough.

Biden having authority to pocess government docs while vp.  He was suppose to protect the documents and is ultimately responsible for were they wound up.  Movers should not had access to classified documents...the fact they did shows biden was wreckless. No excuse for it and he should be held accountable but cant because he is now the sitting president.  Now trump knew he had classfied docs at his home and did not report it and when asked for them did return all claiming at first they are his... trump unlike biden refused to cooperate and challenge the law... how this will end for trump have no clue... the way i see it biden only mishandled classified docs what trump did was intentional

It really makes one wonder whether the custody of classified materials is taken seriously at all. Don't they have a system for tracking them? Even a library keeps track of the shit you borrow from them. At least bill the people in possession of classified docs a late charge, for Christ's sake. lol

Last week a security expert was being interviewed on one of the TV talk shows and he said he bets most ex-Presidents have classified documents in their possession and don't realize it. They have to review thousands of classified documents while they're in office and it's hard to keep track of it.

The law was passed to secure classified documents after a politician leaves office but it's hard to enforce. I have a bunch of paperwork from old jobs, one of these days I'm going to shred them.

They can't prosecute Trump and not Biden because it wouldn't be fair, at least Trump had the documents in a secure room at his house...Biden had them in his garage.

It's interesting. On one had you say a security expert says it's likely Presidents have documents but don't know it, but then poke a Biden for not having documents he, according to the expert, probably didn't know he had locked away. Doesn't that seem a bit odd to you?

And you neglected to say that every time they find documents that Biden has he turns them right over. A year after they found he had some they needed a warrant and armed agents to get the documents from Trump which he STILL is saying he should have been able to keep because he "mentally" declassified them...

They both broke the unenforceable law but neither will be prosecuted.

I'll bet Clinton, Bush Jr and Obama have classified documents as well.

Chances are if they tore up the walls at Mount Vernon they'd find top secret papers George Washington squirreled away.
Humans love trophies and souvenirs......well that's one of Trump's excuses anyway.

We know Trump likely committed serious criminal offenses with respect to classified docs. Biden, not so much.

"We know" ? .....no "we" don't know because I don't know.  Never include me in the we.  I like to think for myself and make my own conclusions without anyone else telling me how I should think, thank you.
No formal charges have even been filed yet...for either of them......so I'd wait at least until that happens........then one can compare who is the better criminal.....lol.

I would submit that anyone who has paid attention to the details of the two cases and has a decent understanding of the criminal statutes in play knows that Trump likely committed serious criminal offenses while Biden likely has not.

You may not have paid attention to those details, and for that reason, you might not know. But I wouldn't go touting my ignorance of the subject matter as evidence that I'm one of the few who thinks for themselves.

Romanticlover

Yeah don't include me in the "we know he committed serious criminal offenses " either, that's for the special counsel to determine.
