CNN Poll: Biden faces negative job ratings and concerns about his age as he gears up for 2024

President Joe Biden faces continued headwinds from broadly negative job ratings overall, widespread concerns about his age and decreased confidence among Democratic-aligned voters, according to a new CNN Poll conducted by SSRS.

This is a CNN poll where Democrats and lefties are their main readers, not looking good for old Joe.

President Donald Trump's job approval rating stands at just 44 percent — a record low for a newly inaugurated commander-in-chief — and half of Americans say that his early challenges suggest unique and systemic problems with his administration, according to a new poll from NBC News and the Wall Street Journal.

In the poll, conducted February 18-22, 48 percent of Americans said they disapprove of Trump's performance as president and 32 percent said that his first month in office demonstrates that he is not up to the job. Asked about early challenges in the first month of his presidency, 52 percent called the issues "real problems" that are specific to his administration, while 43 percent of Americans attributed them to typical "growing pains" for any new president.

So Trump's AVERAGE rating for his time in office has less than half of the country's approval and at it's worst barely ONE THIRD of the country believed he was doing a good job...

From the CNN article...

'There is no clear leader in a potential rematch between Biden and former President Donald Trump, who is widely ahead in the GOP primary. And nearly half of registered voters (46%) say that any Republican presidential nominee would be a better choice than Biden in 2024.'

Trump is polling the same as Biden and he has four indictments. lol

For the record: I don't want either one to be President again

This is an uninformed mischaracterization of the survey. The very first paragraph of the survey, under "Overview," includes the following language:

Surveys were obtained August 25-31, 2023 with a representative sample of n=1,503 respondents, including an oversample of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents to reach a total of 898 Republicans and Republican-leaning independents.

In other words, they recognized that Republicans would be underrepresented in a strictly random sample, so they deliberately skewed the model to balance things out.

And that right there shows the relative merits of his voting base. If Biden were to have four indictments that same user base would be screaming for him to be removed and not be allowed to run for office! Heck, they are calling for that now for something his SON did, which no Republican nor any law enforcement can prove he has any connection to...

Recent polls have shown it to be a tossup between Biden and Trump in the 2024 Presidential Election. A key factor is IF the election was held now. Much can change in either direction by Election Day.

Of course this has the Democrats in a panic wondering about a younger candidate to run for the presidency. Oddly, Trump is only 3 candles on the birthday cake from Biden.

The big negative I see from these polls is it feeds the MAGA crowd who insist Trump is their guy, and will not heed the warnings from others in the Republican Party that Trump can't win in the General Election.

In the new CNN/SSRS poll, Nikki Haley was the only Republican presidential candidate to beat President Biden in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup by a margin larger than the survey's margin of error.

Previously in my analysis of the Republican debate I noted Nikki Haley look the most presidential and the best for the general election, but she probably won't get through the primary.
