A New York judge ruled in the state attorney general's $250 million lawsuit against Donald Trump and his company. The former president committed repeated acts of fraud for years.

At one point, Judge Engoron pointed to Trump's having exaggerated the size of his New York apartment to pump up its value, repeatedly claiming it was over 30,000 feet when it was a third of that size. "A discrepancy of this order of magnitude, by a real estate developer sizing up his own living space of decades, can only be considered fraud." Link

According to the NY AG, Trump's fraudulent business practices were so widespread and persistent that the AG claimed (and the trial judge agreed) that, among other things, he violated a state law that holds people accountable when they pull shit repeatedly and persistently such that the shit they pull "creates an atmosphere conducive to fraud."

You have committed a crime of thievery. Secondarily, the money that you won at the casino is ill gotten gains. The law is clear. You are not entitled to any money you got through a criminal act. Since Donald Trump's behavior has been shown to be fraud, a criminal act, then all of the profit he has made from this fraud is ill gotten gains and could be confiscated.

The lenders made loans on more favorable terms than they otherwise would have based on Trump's many lies. Just because they didn't discover the lies themselves doesn't mean Trump is off the hook. That would be ridiculous.

As to 80 percent of the case being thrown out, that's the lie Trump told outside the courtroom. Go ahead and believe it if you wish, but the judge made clear the next day that Trump's comments didn't reflect what the judge said.

Trump almost always loses in court because that's the one place where truth and facts matter. Trump's world is lies and more lies, and that doesn't fly in a courtroom.

The above example was to debunk the notion that because Trump paid the loans off there was not crime. Based on that reasoning, Hunter Biden didn't break the law when he bought a gun, since no one was shot, hurt, killed with the gun. Trump broke the law. That has been established. Hunter broke the law is to be adjudicated. 

The case against Trump is about patterns of fraud. The disclaimers do not give license to submit fraudulent and misleading asset valuations. Claiming your residence is 30,000 feet when it is only 10,000 feet is blatant misrepresentation.

Thus the Judge is back tracking and 80% of the case has been thrown out.
