I would have to go way back in time to have seeds popping, lol. Nowadays, there are only buds which are turned in a grinder to get it smoke ready.

Back in the day, picking out stems and seeds, if we were lucky there was a bud or two amongst the leaves.  Keep in mind, this was rural Wisconsin early 70's.
