• The EU would finance the purchase and delivery of arms to Ukraine totaling €450 million.
  
• Germany has broken its long-standing foreign policy of banning all exports of lethal weapons to conflict zones and will deliver 1,000 anti-tank rocket launchers, 500 Stinger surface-to-air missiles, nine Howitzers, 14 armored vehicles and 10,000 tonnes of fuel to Ukraine.
  
• Sweden, breaking with its neutral stance, announced that it would deliver anti-tank weapons to Kyiv.
  
• France, for its part, has committed defense equipment and fuel support.
  
• Belgium and the Netherlands will also provide weapons and protective equipment, with the Belgian government promising 2,000 machine guns, 3,800 tons of fuel, 3,000 additional automatic rifles and 200 anti-tank weapons. As well as protective equipment, the Netherlands will also provide 200 Stinger anti-aircraft missiles as soon as possible.
  
• Portugal has offered protective equipment such as bulletproof vests and helmets as well as night vision goggles, grenades and ammunition of various calibers.
  
• Czech Republic is sending 30,000 pistols, 7,000 assault rifles, 3,000 machine guns and several dozen sniper rifles as well as one million rounds of ammunition
  
• Romania is providing fuel, body armor, helmets, ammunition and other military equipment.
  
• Finland, a country that is not yet aligned with NATO but is a member of the EU, announced a historic policy shift to send weapons to Ukraine, promising 2,500 assault rifles, 150,000 rounds of ammunition, 1,500 rocket launchers and 70,000 field rations.
  
• Denmark sending 2,700 anti-tank weapons and would let Danish volunteers join International Brigades forming in Ukraine to defend the country.
  
• Norway, which had already announced on Sunday shipments of helmets and bulletproof vests, said on Monday it would also be sending 2,000 M72 anti-tank weapons.
  
• Croatia is sending €16 million worth of protective gear and light arms
  
• Slovenia has promised rifles, ammunition and helmets.
  
• Italyhas also announced that it will send military equipment
  
• Canada announced the sending of military protective equipment, such as helmets and bulletproof vests but also anti-tank weapons systems and upgraded ammunition.

So why doesn't Ukraine just join NATO and be done with it?  Putin is not going to fight NATO. Putin is depending on NATO being afraid he will use nukes.  Putin won't nuke the NATO border counties, if he did it would be like nuking himself from all the radioactive fallout that would drift over Western Russia to Moscow.

The Ukraine Constitution was amended to seek membership in NATO and the European Union. Link

There is an application process and NATO countries have to vote to allow Ukraine in. Not happing at the moment.

The invasion of Ukraine could have been avoided early on had there been a US President with a set the balls to deal with Putin when he first started building up the military on the Ukraine border. Sure isn't Biden! Should have lined up a military defense on the Ukraine border with tanks and air support to stop Russia from entering Ukraine. And while the face-off was going on have sanctions on Russia. Now it's too late Russia is about to take the gloves off and go into full attack mode. No way will Putin pull back with this much investment.  Putin is all in.

I can't say Putin would have not invaded if Trump was president today, I can't possibly know that, as far as I know, Putin would have started shit in 2020 but Covid derailed and delayed his plans.  Trump can not say for certain what Putin would do if he was still president. I am just saying Biden like Obama are weak and Putin took advantage of the weakness. He knew neither president would confront him militarily. The only way Putin will leave Ukraine now is if another Super Power steps in and that is not China, to force Russia/Putin out of Ukraine as we did in Kuwait forcing Iraq out of Kuwait. The US message to Putin should have been early on, you invade Ukraine we will do everything and use everything we have to stop you. Not defending Ukraine because they are not part of NATO was a seriously costly mistake, NATO member or not Ukraine needed our protection from Russia. We are way past all of that now... Now Ukraine will fall back into the hands of Putin and Putin will set his sights on other bordering countries. China is watching the unfolding Ukraine US response and may seize the moment and invade Taiwan.
