Oh c'mon you know very well that DonOld as a martyr dead or just injured would be extremely bad for democracy never mind the Dems.  Killing or even hurting him would be a massive transfusion for MAGA and worse yet, the emergence of another cynical evil but smarter cult leader, like say Elon.  Elon could easily keep the hypocrisy alive and growing and actually become the dictator that DonOld so dreams of. 

DonOld must be  humiliated at the ballot box and relegated to the dust bin of history if that's even possible.  But it is definitely the only hope that we might recover to be a legitimate 2 party system working on policy and actually running the government instead of grifting it.

What Zep said.  Also to me, Elon is perfectly capable of taking over MAGA and has already started his 2028 campaign.  MAGA will be drawn to his low score on basic humanity, which comes close to DJT's score of zero humanity.  Elon is obviously light years smarter in general and probably still smarter politically.  His interviews are word salad with some "rational" basis mixed in.  But the cult will not care that he cannot deliver his message clearly.   They will come on the Sunday talk shows and "explain" what he means.  Works for DJT, so what's the problem............ Yep, Elon will be MAGA 2.0. 

As for defending democracy..........there's plenty of American Nazis and white nationalists in the cult who believe democracy has had it's day and no longer works.  And so it's time for a strong authoritarian aka dictator to take over "for the good of the country".  They believe they are in the protected safe area or status from DJT's whims in a 2nd term.  Unfortunately for ALL of us, that is just a fantasy. Unintended consequences as well as retribution will be the norm.

Elon may be smart in general, but he isn't a good communicator. On the contrary, he's pretty awkward.

As for the clarity of Trump's message, he's crystal clear about the things his supporters want to hear. Slogans like "enemy of the people," "mass deportation now," and "lock them up," repeated over and over and over again, are the things his supporters are hearing, and they love that shit.

Also, Elon isn't a natural born citizen, so he'd be ineligible for the office.
