The Democrats have borrowed tax payers $$ to cover medicare costs this year.
Prescriptions as well. In which was heavily stated prescription prices will go down. How wrong they are.
The word is medicare prices will rise 3 × current rates.
These increases will take affect in 2025.
This would make medicare unreachable for many causing many to not have medicare.
What does this do?
Many will succumb to illnesses and this will take care of the current issues with Social security and medicare.
Life expentancy will go down.
So, who are the Demons?
Democrats population control.
And this will be blamed on Trump, since he will be President.
Nothing new..

Wait...  Already making excuses for Trump??  He's the businessman! He has ALL the answers. His single initiative "Tariffs" will solve all the problems.  He'll cut taxes, Way better insurance than ACA! 100% employment, Inflation will reverse!  All due to tariffs!!!!

Come on...   You just got to believe!!

Funny, Trump spent YEARS trying to take away cheap medical care simply because it was associated with Obama.

Having him or his followers complain about higher medical care rates is laughable...

I consider myself a independent.
I don't like doing politics because of the backlash but.
If you love The last 4 years economy then vote for Harris.
But what I remember Trump had things a lot better under control.
Gas prices, food prices, rent wasn't outrageous, my 401 went way up, wasn't a war going on.....
The list goes on and on...
Just my two cents and as you were....
Life is what you make it

Let's see. For most of Trump's tenure we had a little thing like a Global Pandemic going on.

Gas was cheap - well, people were locked in for MONTHS to a year. Of course, it was cheap, nobody was buying it, the price fell, and those who did buy it certainly weren't going to pay much for it

Rent - hmm, back to the global pandemic where most places had rent control and not being able to throw people out to charge more. But, once they were, LANDLORDS, not the government, started back gouging people on rent.

Food - cool, let's look at some food prices to see what the differences were: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/average-cost-grocery-staples-trump-230038598.html

Milk
Milk is a staple for many U.S. homes. According to the U.S. Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average price for a gallon of milk was about $3.86 in May. Here's a look at average milk prices and milk prices adjusted for inflation in 2022 dollars for years Trump was in office:

2017: $3.23/$4.09

2018: $2.90/$3.77

2019: $3.04/$3.85

2020: $3.32/$3.97

2021: $3.55/$4.04

Gee, look at that, the cost dropped 20 cents under Trump, and went up...hmm, look at that about 20 cents while under Biden. And it's still less than it was in 2017!

Eggs - MUCH was made of by Trump about egg costs.

You'll also find eggs in many kitchens in America. According to the BLS, the average price of one dozen Grade A eggs was about $2.70 in May. Here's a look at average egg prices and egg prices adjusted for inflation in 2022 dollars for the years Trump was president:

2017: $1.47/$2.11

2018: $1.74/$2.26

2019: $1.40/$2.02

2020: $1.51/$2.09

2021: $1.67/$2.21

Hmm, I sense a pattern here. The same thing happened with Eggs as it did with milk, only being 10 cents higher than it was in 2017!

How about Toilet Paper? Do you remember that stuff that disappeared off the shelves because people were hoarding it?

Toilet Paper
Finally, another staple for families is toilet paper. As you will see from the prices list from the People History, there has been some stability in the price of a pack of four rolls from Scott:

2017: $3.98

2018: $3.48

2019: $3.48

2020: $3.82

2021: $4.00

Man, would you look at that? TP dropped 50 cents, then went up 20 cents, and finally went up all of TWO CENTS in 2021 from what it was in 2017!

Yeah, those prices do seem rough and completely nonsensical. Oh..wait. Nope, just normal inflationary costs of goods over 5 years

No War going on - Hmm, ah, I see the problem, it was that *global lockdown* again. Unlike in red states here, sane countries actually stayed locked down until the virus was under control, but as soon as it was, they resumed the bad things they were doing beforehand.

All of these things are being bandied about by Trump and his supporters as having blown up under Biden when it really hadn't and is just them lying to you, hoping you won't actually look into it.

God dammit. I voted for Harris a couple of days ago but I just saw a clip of Trump from Madison Square Garden tonight and now I wish I'd voted for him.

He said he's going to make our country "bigger, better, bolder, richer, safer, and stronger than ever before," and that his presidency "will begin the four greatest years in the history of our country."

Since Trump always tells it like it is I feel like I made a big mistake voting for Kamala. I'm such a dope.

dogwalker

I don't care about the price of milk, eggs, or TP since they are not even close to my major expenses (let's hope).  My main non-discretionary expenses are things like taxes, health care, and insurance.  That's what needs to be cheaper for me to care.  My main discretionary expenses are travel and uumm you know.  Lower the cost of them too.

Trump inherited a booming economy of Obama. He rode that economy while giving wealthy and big business tax cuts that started the inflation machine in the US.  He watched as the country fell apart ignoring the Covid crisis until we were on the brink of a financial disaster.

We wised up as a nation and kicked out the bum. Biden did a remarkable job leading our nation back from the brink of a depression.  He curtailed inflation, righted the economy and has us back on track.

Now, some are fooled into thinking we need that clown back in office?    Wtf?!?!?  He ruined us once,  don't give him the chance to ruin us again!!

think my IRA grow quite a bit these last 3 years, Trump predicted stock crash if Biden won.
Just tap me on the head if I overstay my welcome

It did not matter who the president was in 2017 inflation and unemployment would have hit record low numbers because of Obama not Trump.

When the US was in lock down the government should have been buying and storing oil.

Covid devastated our economy regardless of who the president was in 2021 inflation unemployment and fuel cost would have soared.  The president has little control over our economy but does have full control over our southern border and thats where Biden really blew it.

How long does it take to Make America Great Again?

He would have made it happen the first time if not for those pesky Democrats and all their hoaxes and witch hunts. But that shouldn't be a problem now that he's announced his plan to use the military against "the enemy from within."

There's an expression that starts, "Fool me once, shame on you," but Trumpers seem never to have heard it before.

See post by Zep on Trump inherited a booming economy of Obama.

Today's Economy is the envy of the world. The Economist article

If the United States' economy were an athlete, right now it would be peak LeBron James. If it were a pop star, it would be peak Taylor Swift. Four years ago, the pandemic temporarily brought much of the world economy to a halt. Since then, America's economic performance has left other countries in the dust and even broken some of its own records. The growth rate is high, the unemployment rate is at historic lows, household wealth is surging, and wages are rising faster than costs, especially for the working class. There are many ways to define a good economy. America is in tremendous shape according to just about any of them.
The Atlantic

People who talk about the money they had back then. It's like driving down the freeway blindfolded while taking directions from someone looking out the rear window. People better take the blind fold off and look out the front windshield. See the Trump proposals for massive tariffs and widespread deportations. Think prices are high now...? Trump has NOT articulated any plans to bring down prices. He talks like it will magically happen if he is elected.

16 years so far. 1981 to 1989 = 8 years. 2017 to 2021 = 4years. Another 4 year term of Trump.
Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush had used "Let's Make America Great Again" in their 1980 campaign.  However, Trump trademark it.
