Contrasting Jimmy Carter and Donald Trump

Jimmy Carter, the 39th U.S. president, died today after a year in hospice care. RIP.

Carter was, by all accounts, a good and decent man. The biggest Carter "scandal" was the sensationalization of benign comments he made in a Playboy interview. Carter said he had "committed adultery many times in my heart."

At that time, we couldn't have imagined that a future presidential candidate would brag about grabbing women by the pussy and get elected (twice!) because he successfully conned enough Americans into believing he would "Make America Great Again."

Well ok.  Accurate but everyone is more complicated than that---what adulterous thoughts they have.
I vaguely recall a post here claiming Carter and Biden were the two worst Presidents ever.
Expect them to chime in.  As I said on that thread I do not agree with that, but that's my opinion.

Is it fair to say every President had good accomplishments but also some disasters?
Were any perfect (all good)?  None I can think of.
Carter bungled the response to the oil crisis and the Iran hostage situation.
However he negotiated the Camp David accords and won a Nobel Peace Prize for doing so,
deservedly I'd argue.  If it were not for that Egypt might also have joined in recent attacks on Israel
and IMO there already are enough problems in the Middle East.

Carter was a good man and loyal husband.  But Carter like Biden was a diplomate not a leader.  I don't think Carter became senile. I don't know about Biden being senile but I sure would not bet against it.

I served in the military under Carter my Commander and Chief 4 years.  During that time servicemen morale sunk and many decided to leave the service because they didn't like serving under Carter.  The B1 bomber was canceled by Carter but resurrected by Reagan which brought Russia to the negotiating table.  Inflation and interest rates were high under Carter's term.

Let's not forget the 13% mortgage rates of 1980.

As for Jimmy Carter, he was a good man who served in the Navy. He promoted Habitat For Humanity which is a noble cause.

He wont go down in history as the most corropt and worst President.

Wait, so is President Carter, President, Biden, and President Obama ask Republicans now and President Trump a Democrat because I thought Republicans were the bible thumpers and not the Democrats.

No he won't.  That honor goes to the corrupt and now demented Joe Biden.  I bet Carter was so happy that Biden got elected so that he lived long enough to see a worse president than he was!

Biden hasn't been a great president. He's maybe somewhere in the middle.

But there's no reasonable measure by which to label him the "most corrupt and worst" president.

Instead, people who repeat this Trump talking point illustrate the effectiveness of propaganda and the childish credulity in adults who believe it.

You're the one who mentioned Biden not me, you must know deep down that he is the most corrupt and worst President. The TDS force is strong with some people.

More childishness. Here's you earlier this month:

After Old Joe pardoned his crackhead son this doesn't surprise me, he will go down in history as the most corrupt President ever.

This doesn't surprise me because Biden is a career politician who has lied ever since he told the draft board that he had asthma, he will go down in the history books as the worst President ever.

I'll say it for the 12,198th time.
Speculating and guessing is different from being there and knowing facts.
Are any of you relatives of the Bidens or insiders that know anything that actually might be useful ???
News stories and personal opinions that are always biased----super "helpful"

Dog, how do I know you're the one posting this? I've met you many times, but I've never seen you at your computer.

Let's shut down all human discourse until every supposed fact, including its provenance, is nailed to the floor.
