Hamas has agreed to release the hostages however 150 to 175 have been executed by Hamas.  Very sad.

Implementation of the temporary ceasefire will start on Sunday, the prime minister said. Hamas is expected to release 33 hostages during the first phase of an emerging deal. Hundreds of Palestinian prisoners are set to be released from Israeli jails at the same time. Link

And look, here is Trump claiming credit for it:  https://www.reuters.com/world/biden-announces-israel-hamas-ceasefire-deal-2025-01-15/

"Trump, in a social media post, was quick to claim a measure of credit for the breakthrough that came after months of stalled negotiations. He had repeatedly warned there would be "hell to pay" if a deal was not made by the time he takes office on Monday.
"This EPIC ceasefire agreement could have only happened as a result of our Historic Victory in November, as it signaled to the entire World that my Administration would seek Peace and negotiate deals to ensure the safety of all Americans, and our Allies," he said."

Gee, who couldn't have seen that coming  ::)

Trump was a vital part of the negotiations.  Trumps people worked along side of Biden's team to make this happen.  Biden had how many months?  But things didn't get serious until Trump was reelected.  If Harris was elected there would be no cease fire agreement now

Dont kid yourself Iran is terrified when it comes to Trump.  Iran wont do anything now because they know Trump will come after them with US military so Hamas knows this they have no support.  Trump and Israel get along far better than Biden. Trump will support Israel with most anything they need.  Trump got along well with Saudis hell they gave his son in-law 2 billion dollars.  Trump is right his reelection changed everything.

So Israel is going to trade 20 Palestinian terrorists for each Israeli citizen being held hostage?

Seems like a horrible deal to me.

Hamas is going to reconstitute and do this shit again in the future.

The exchange rate is directly related to the value that each groups places on life.  Israel believes one Israeli is worth up to 100 Hamas scumbags.  That is why this deal WILL collapse.  Until every single Israeli hostage is freed, peace will not be possible.

Not many Israeli hostages still living. I suspect once all the hostages are accounted for Isreal will go in and demolish Gaza in retaliation for execution of hostages. Hamas will not be left standing.

I was close, it was 30:1.

Once all of the remaining hostages have been released, then there should be a swift and total annihilation of any Hamas criminals still breathing...above ground, underground, hiding behind civilians (who support them anyway), in a schools, hospital, or any other chickenshit place they want to hide.  Same goes for the terrorists north and east of Israel.  Jus sayin'.

We keep differentiating Hamas from the Palestinian citizens. After the horrific October 7 attack on Israeli citizens there were celebrations and dancing in the streets by some Palestinians. WE call Hamas a terrorist group. However, they are the leaders of the Palestinian people. Hamas came to power in the 2006 election victory. While many Palestinians may not support Hamas, like the citizens of any country they suffer from the actions of their leaders.

People seem to have forgotten the  adages of " war is hell" and "all is fair in love and war." My opinion is that until ALL the hostages are returned there would be no food, medicines, NO humanitarian aid would be given.
