Trump killed thousands of job, stopped all funding to fix roads, bridges, infrastructure, etc. Next will be the CHIP act, no more $1 Billion for new plant in Rocklin.

Roseville, California – Bosch has signed a preliminary memorandum of terms (PMT) under the CHIPS and Science Act with the U.S. Department of Commerce (DoC). It includes up to $225 million in proposed direct funding to support the transformation of the Bosch production facility in Roseville, California. The proposed investment would support the development of semiconductor manufacturing in the U.S. Bosch plans to invest up to $1.9 billion to transform the Roseville site into a facility that produces and tests silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors. You are right about the "off topic" this thread is split from https://fantasysaloon.com/index.php?msg=25636

As to "pure conjecture" I hope you are right. We will see.

All foreign aid and funding of new health research (NIH) grants also suspended for 90 days pending a review.
Those two are viewed by many as a waste of money with no value in return.
$68B is spent on foreign aid.  The NIH budget is $47B.
It's as if for target topics they are not cutting from top down.
Instead they are paying from bottom up.
