Trump is blasting Newsome for not diverting water from Northern California that protects the Delta Smelt and send water to Los Angeles.  Back in 2018 Trump was blasting Newsome for the water but wasn't about shipping water to Los Angeles.  No he and Nunez were wanting the water for agriculture.  Doesn't really matter the Aquaduct can transport only so much water.  So even if Newsom releases the water kills the smelt won't solve the problem.

What LA needs to do is build and install water tanks to hold both drinking and fire water.  They could install huge tanks under streets in all the neighborhoods and have billions of gallons of water available.  If they installed enough tanks they could supply LA during extreme droughts with all the water needed.

Made made lakes store water, help the environment but they are limited in the area they serve.  Having water storage tanks under streets would serve the immediate area with all the water they want.

There are already lakes that hold water for SoCal: Castaic, Piru, Pyramid to name a few

The problem is the drought and too many people who want a green lawn, LA County has 10 million residents.
Are we having fun yet?

The water would come from where it does now.  The fill can be restricted so it doesn't reduce water pressure while the tanks fill.  It might take a year to fill them all.  So what...they would have plenty of water

Yes ther is but they are miles and miles away from areas that need water.  The lakes are fine but are limited to the area they can support.  And what happens to the water after the lakes are full?

I heard that they are going to build a second water pipeline adjacent to the oil pipeline from the North Pole to Texas and then Tx will sell the water to LA.  That way, the Republicans in Tx can use the valve to control California.  Oh, Trump get's 10% of what Cali pays Tx.
We all got two lives, the second one begins when you realize you only have one.
