"You guys." Please be specific. Just what have I said that is politicizing.

Still, his supporters won't care.

They don't care about every little petty thing that Trump says or does no more than far left progressives cared that Biden was unfit to be president.

wish these were petty little things, but they are not.

Trump is an American autocrat, and each of these things serves his autocratic purposes.

More info was released yesterday: the air traffic controller(ATC) was talking to the military helicopter on a different freq than the civilian aircraft, the ATC told the civilian airliner to land on runway 33 when they originally were cleared for runway 1, ATC asked the military helicopter if they had a visual on the airliner and they said yes(but it was another aircraft), the military helicopter was flying 100ft higher than they were cleared for and they were using night vision googles which messes up your field of view and depth perception.

It was a combination of factors that caused this accident: had the airliner been able to land on runway 1 then everyone would still be alive, had the helicopter stayed below 200ft then everyone would still be alive, had the ATC told the military helicopter to divert to the east due to traffic then everyone would be alive.
Are we having fun yet?

Amazingly NONE of that had to do with DEI, Biden or Obama unlike the FiC stated unequivocally because he is smarter than everyone else...

Thanks Romanticlover for the update. As we previously discussed there is usually. not just one thing. NTSB will be looking at human factors, machine factors, environmental factors. After investigations the NTSB will make recommendations to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) the agency responsible for United States' airspace. The FAA's responsibilities include:
  • Air traffic control - Directing air traffic and maintaining air traffic control systems for civil and military aircraft
  • Airport safety - Inspecting airports and establishing standards for their design, construction, and operation
  • Flight safety - Regulating flight inspection standards and developing programs to promote aviation safety
  • Space transportation - Regulating commercial space transportation and protecting the public during space launches
  • National security - Supporting national security through intelligence, investigations, and law enforcement support
  • New technology - Developing and encouraging new aviation technology
  • Airspace management - Managing the nation's airspace and establishing and maintaining a common air traffic control system
  • International cooperation - Providing technical assistance to other countries and working with the Department of Defense.

The FAA is a division of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).  With new leadership it will be interesting how much support they will get from Congress and the White House to implement changes in the face of conflicting interests.

Idk, between you all and me, I can't believe Trump allowed this to happen on "HIS" watch.  I think it's just the start of a failed presidency. How could he have allowed this to happen with all his people in charge?  Maybe he made bad choices?   Maybe he is not a real leader like many thought.

Heck, look at the price of eggs!!!  He can't even get that right!!!

Sure it does. DEI advocates hiring of unqualified people to satisfy quotas. Asking if you see the aircraft is really a stupid question when the tower should have been giving orders to avoid a collision if they suspect danger.

That's an interpretation that ignores the long history of discrimination in this country. The idea behind DEI initiatives is to ensure that qualified applicants who might otherwise be overlooked or rejected because of certain personal characteristics are instead brought in to improve the workforce.

Quote from: bats on Jan 30, 2025, 12:04 AMTragic aviation accident over the Potomac. Probably no survivors. Any responsible president would refrain from editorializing. But we have Trump:

You have issues.

The tower could of gave more information and maybe this tragic event could of been avoided.

WRONG
DEI applicants were pushed ahead of qualified individuals to satisfy politics..
Example of attempting to put a person in FAA with no qualifications.
Yes this person withdrew himself.
Phillip Washington was picked by Biden to head FAA and did not know a thing about aviation.

Ya, Trump had 4 years to fix this problem but did NOTHING!  SMH!  Now he is back in charge and still hasn't done anything!  People are dying on his watch.  Can't blame Biden anymore.  (The Buck Stops Here)
