Ukraine War Is About To End

Trump spoke with his buddy Putin today.  Trump will convince Zelensky to withdraw his request to join NATO and turn over the territory that Putin wants. If Zelensky refuses Trump will end support of Ukraine. Either way the war will end.  It's just a matter of how much of the Ukraine Zelensky is willing to lose.

Trump will say he has no other option because Biden screwed it all up.

Ukraine gave up their nuclear arsenals in return for security guarantees from the United States, the UK, France, China and Russia. Obama, Trump, Biden, and now Trump again have shown bad faith. The world needs to understand that they can't depend on America to have their back.

In the beginning when Putin was building up troops and tanks on the border Biden should have sent in A10 aircraft to defend the border.  And told NATO to accept Ukrain.  But nope Biden did nothing to stop Putin.

Oh yeh?  Glad you can predict the future.  It was supposed to end January 20th and didn't.
Trump still has to get Putin to agree to whatever terms are proposed or threats that are made.

If bothered to read what Trump said you would know Trump is going to concede to Putin's demands to save lives and end the war.  Ukraine will have to turn over some territory and agree not to join NATO. Trump will agree to help rebuild the Ukraine and remove the sanctions imposed on Russia as part of the deal.

And just where, pray tell, did you get that information? Trump has made no commitments, or set forth any specifics on helping to rebuild Ukraine.

Trump is going to extort from Ukraine rare earth elements, ie. minerals like lithium, titanium, and uranium, which are essential for modern technologies such as electric vehicles, smartphones, and defense production. Along with other natural resources Ukraine has.

Trump isn't extorting Ukraine.  You are okay to hand over money with no form of repayment?  Zelensky is okay with it.

Good that we got away from the BS of Trump helping to rebuild Ukraine.

We have discussed previously about the nature of aid to Ukraine. Just to quickly recap:
  • The US is supporting Ukraine in part so that the US won't have to fight Russia itself. (remember Ronald Regan)
  • The overwhelming majority of military assistance is going to build up the US defense industrial base. It is allowing the expansion of current production lines of essential military supplies that the US military will need in any future war. (American workers all over the country are benefiting)
  • The equipment the US has been giving Ukraine is mostly old and sometimes inoperable. 
  • The US is purchasing new systems to replace what it gives Ukraine, modernizing the American military in the process.

So we have been giving Ukraine our hand-me-downs, like "Goodwill" donations, and you are crying about not getting paid back. How should these donations be valued? 

Zelensky has expressed openness to the idea of providing Ukraine's mineral resources to the U.S. in exchange for CONTINUED military aid

The Trump administration is making the negotiations easy for Ukraine by conceding on their behalf without even including them at the table. Hegseth gave away the store yesterday, and for what?

The people we just put in the White House are both grossly incompetent and anti-democratic.

Ukraine joining NATO is off the table and not negotionable.  Zelensky knows he will have to give up some land.  Other details have to be ironed out but a cease fire could happen at anytime.  Ukraine Russia NATO and US want the war and killing to stop.

Yesterday Hegseth said it was not realistic for Ukraine to be part of NATO, and that Ukraine will not get all its territory back.

Today, however, he walked it back and said, uh, no, he didn't really mean that because Trump is the boss and he's just a Fox News weekend host and everything is on the table.

But the damage is done. Hegseth showed our cards. We can no longer bluff.
