Quote from: HighStepper on Feb 18, 2025, 07:46 PMU.S. Census reports around 100,000 Americans are 100 years old or older. NOT millions and millions people like Trump claims. What is hard to fathom, is why all these MAGA people keep going along with all his exageations and BS.

Because he hates the same people they hate, and it doesn't matter what lies he might tell. He's empowering them, making them think they were right all along and that it's ok to spew that hate out in the open instead of just to your friends.

So they are willing to ignore his other behavior as long as he keeps showing them that he's doing something about that hated (insert lowbrow enemy here).

Those you claim MAGA hates are all for open boarders and illegals flooding the US.  They don't care about how money is spent as long as it is not their money.  They are all for inexperienced un educated or incompetent people in positions that affect our safety.  The list goes on and on.  Biden did nothing about any of this if anything he caused more damage to our country than another president has.

QUESTION: What are the groups of people that MAGA hates?
INTERNET ANSWER: The Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement, associated with President Donald Trump, has been known to hold negative views towards certain groups. According to various sources, the movement has shown hostility towards:
1.    Immigrants: Particularly those from Latin American countries, as seen in the rhetoric around building a border wall and restricting immigration.
2.    Muslims: The travel ban on several predominantly Muslim countries is a notable example.
3.    LGBTQ+ community: There have been efforts to roll back protections and rights for LGBTQ+ individuals.
4.    People of color: There have been numerous instances of racially charged language and policies that disproportionately affect Black and Hispanic communities.
5.    Liberals and Democrats: The movement often targets those with opposing political views.
These views are not universally held by all MAGA supporters, but they have been prominent in the movement's rhetoric and actions

What you post here are all Far Left Progressive talking points. All those talking points were discussed during the campaigns leading up to the election.  The majority of voters voted against all of that. Taxpayers money to pay for inmate transgender surgery.  Yeah let's get behind that!

The post was in response to your "Those you claim MAGA hates..." In response to Blkfyre's comment, "Trump and Maga supporters hate the same people." They may be talking points of the Left, however they are observations from many sources regardless of political bias. And yes the majority plurality of voters supported Trump. Which supports the Blkfyre comment.

Interesting how you conveniently left out this was policy under the Trump administration. A lot of people don't want to pay for inmate transgender surgery. The End Taxpayer Funding of Gender Experimentation Act of 2021 was introduced in both the Senate (S.777) and the House of Representatives (H.R.1927) on March 16, 2021

A tiny plurality of voters pulled the lever for Trump. A majority of voters voted for someone other than Trump. It's far from the overwhelming mandate you keep hearing from Trump and his media allies.

But the point is that Trump was able to tap into the hate that resides in the hearts of many poorly informed Americans. He and his allies push the lies incessantly, and those lies took hold. For example, few Democrats are "radical Left lunatics," but that's how they're characterized by Trump and in right-wing echo chambers.

Also, the campaign was extremely effective in ginning up hate for transgender people. They know that a lot of Americans fear people who seem so different, and fear leads to hate.

Transgender people are not only a teensy fraction of the population, but they are already among the most marginalized people in society. Yet that wasn't enough, and the Trump campaign saw an opportunity in piling on. It's disgusting.
