U.S District Judge Beryl Howell reinstated Gwynne Wilcox to the National Labor Relations Board after Trump removed her without providing any cause, issuing an opinion that suggests the case could be a broader test of the "unitary executive theory."

"An American President is not a king -- not even an 'elected' one -- and his power to remove federal officers and honest civil servants like plaintiff is not absolute," Howell wrote.

Judge William Alsup of the Northern District of California said OPM's Jan. 20 memo and Feb. 14 internal email are "illegal" and "should be stopped, rescinded."

The judge said when federal agencies fire employees for no reason, "that's just not right in our country," adding that we can't "run our agencies with lies."

"The Office of Personnel Management does not have any authority whatsoever under any statute in the history of the universe to hire and fire employees at another agency," he stated.

A federal judge on Thursday ordered the Trump administration to speed up its payment on some of nearly $2 billion in debts to partners of the U.S. Agency for International Development and the State Department, giving it a Monday deadline to repay the nonprofit groups and businesses in a lawsuit over the administration's abrupt shutdown of foreign assistance funding.

U.S. District Judge Amir Ali described the partial payment as a "concrete" first step he wanted to see from the administration, which is fighting multiple lawsuits seeking to roll back the administration's dismantling of USAID and a six-week freeze on USAID funding, which has forced U.S.-funded organizations to halt aid and development work around the world and lay off workers.

Trump has never said he is a king!  So you are not wanting to cut spending or delete federal jobs no longer needed that will be replaced by AI. Trump will appeal decisions that rule against him and will wind up in SCOTUS.  When SCOTUS rules I will accept it.

Tell me how do feel about Trump making Mexican Drug Lords terrorist so we can put a stop to them profiting off the lives of Americans?  Mexico arrested and is sending 29 drug lords to the United States.

Why are you asking me? A FEDERAL JUDGE is the one who said Trump is not a king

What do Mexican Drug Lords have to do with Trump/Elon cutting jobs **illegally**?

Trump isn't cutting jobs illegally.  How many air traffic controllers did Reagan fire after he ordered them back to work and they refused?  Jobs are being eliminated so those holding those jobs will no longer have a job.  Apparently you don't care if the government waste money.

I love that if someone disagrees at all with Trump, well, you do not care about the government wasting money! That can be the ONLY REASON why you are disagreeing.

Why is that? Is Trump perfect? Can he not make a mistake? And, from the FEDERAL JUDGE'S ruling, he made a MISTAKE in this case cutting off the funding when he did not have a right to do so, thus his LEGAL ORDER to clear up the debt *now*.

This is not a case of not caring about waste, it's a case about Trump and his hired thug Elon overreaching the constitutional powers that are granted to the President and having their hand slapped and told to fix what they broke.

THIS is Trump cutting jobs illegally and being called on it: https://www.afge.org/article/judge-sides-with-afge-saying-trumps-mass-firings-of-probationary-employees-illegal/

Again, this is not me saying it's illegal, it's a person who knows better than the both of us, a FEDERAL JUDGE.

And again, What do Mexican Drug Lords have to do with Trump/Elon cutting jobs **illegally**/Trump being made to make the payments he didn't have the authority to stop?

Danno

biggest waste ever, is Trump spending $200 million and counting, on golf. Over 30 mill in 6 weeks. Letting Musk use air force one to fly around at $200,000/hr, because he's afraid.
Just tap me on the head if I overstay my welcome

On his Truth Social account last month, Trump also posted this after he moved to end NYC's congestion pricing model:

Judge ruled Trump could not stop funds for services rendered.
Very simple, stop all services and then no more payments for a useless cause.

Democrats here and across the country are whining because they lost congress, lost the presidency so all their promises of handing out free money they made in the past all goes up in smoke.

Not sure why you had to restate it, but yes, TRUMP did not have the authority to stop the payments, which *everybody* told him, yet he said he had the right.

FAFO happened and now he's paying.

That claim reflects partisan rhetoric rather than an objective analysis. Both parties have implemented policies involving financial aid or subsidies. Oversimplifying nuanced issues into sound bites or partisan jabs is of no value to a meaningful discussion.

""This lawsuit is an affront to the First Amendment and is without basis in law or fact. Plaintiffs President Donald J. Trump and Representative Ronny Jackson, public officials at the highest ranks of our government, seek to punish a news organization for constitutionally protected editorial judgments they do not like," the attorneys wrote."
