A former top official at the FBI told a federal jury on Thursday that he was "100 percent confident" that Michael Sussmann, a prominent cybersecurity lawyer, said he wasn't acting on behalf of any of his clients when he gave the FBI information weeks before the 2016 presidential election about an alleged data link between the Trump Organization and a Russian bank.

Former FBI official James Baker testified Thursday about his fateful 2016 meeting with cybersecurity lawyer Michael Sussmann, recounting how the brief talk about computer data fueled a five-year parade of accusations and investigations surrounding that year's presidential election.

Sussmann is accused by special counsel John Durham of lying to Baker by hiding the fact that he was working for the Hillary Clinton campaign when he brought allegations to the FBI regarding then-Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Typical Democrat thinking. When discussions are of Biden and what he is doing, democrats reply what about Trump remark which does not excuse Biden.  What this is about is an investigation that started long ago and is now bearing fruit bringing out the truth. 

Before the republican primaries in 2016, Republicans did try to find dirt on Trump but to no avail.  Hilary and the Democrat Party picked up on it and expanded it.  We now know that the Clinton campaign Hilary paid for and tried to give false information to the FBI as an October Surprise before the election that Trump was under FBI investigation for Russian Collusion. Sussman an attorney hired by Clinton, who worked for Clinton contacted his long-time friend Jim Baker to pass on false information for the FBI investigation saying he was doing this on his own... he lied about it!  For over 2 years the Trump administration was plagued by this fake made-up propaganda costing the taxpayers millions of dollars to investigate a fraud committed by Hilary Clinton... I would say this is justified! Next on trial will be Hilary...

This is a bad prosecution by Durham. The one and only charge against Sussman is that he lied to the FBI about who he was representing when he went to the FBI with data from some cybersecurity academics who believed they'd run across more evidence of Russians interfering in the 2016 election interference, this time infiltrating the Trump campaign.

The FBI found that the evidence didn't amount to anything, and that's where this matter should have ended. But since Durham was hired to stir up shit, he has suggested that Sussman was being paid by the Clinton campaign to spark an investigation into whether the Trump campaign was in cahoots with the Russians.

But the allegation that Sussman was being paid by the Clinton campaign isn't something that has even been proven. Durham just put that in there as though it were a known fact. And right-wing media have run with it as though it were the biggest scandal in the history of American politics.

We'll see where the trial goes, but even if Sussman is acquitted (as he likely will be) Durham has already accomplished his purpose, which was to get the right-wingers all worked up over nothing. And if he's convicted? OMG! Then Fox News and Trump and your buddy BOR will be creaming themselves as they declare another fake victory over the evil Ms. Clinton.

Clinton campaign paid Fusion GPS to get evidence on Trump which was bogus, nevertheless the scheme was to get it to the FBI so the news media would report on it just prior to the election that Trump was under FBI investigation... Hilary tried to overthrow the election with the information she knew to be false. Sussman is just a step leading to Hilary. Durham is a very competent experienced prosecutor and if he believes he can prove it he will.

The left media doesn't want to report the truth it makes them look stupid because they got a lot of things wrong.  So far the right media has gotten lots of things right about Biden... proof is what is happening right now. Inflation, Gas prices still climbing, War in Ukraine, Stock Market crashing... all on Biden...
