Just how much to date has been wasted on the California High-Speed Rail that won't be high speed? This money could have been used to build more reservoirs, schools, hospitals, and youth centers... create thousands of new jobs for California.

The $105 billion bullet train project — for which $10.3 billion has been spent so far — would be the largest single investment in state history, the most ambitious civil works effort in the nation and now a symbol to many experts of how not to build a railroad. It looks pretty.

Do you know how many people are going to lose out on the opportunity to ride from Merced to Bakersfield?  Think of all of the lost revenue from the billions of people who are going to ride from Merced to Bakersfield and vice versa.  Don't think of the billions of dollars and 14+ years spent on this; nevermind that we've not laid down a single track.  Think of the Children.
