When you are too rich and entitled to actually know what is going on with your constituents:

"You've got a whole lot of people sitting on the sidelines because, frankly, they're flush for the moment," the Kentucky Republican said. "What we've got to hope is once they run out of money, they'll start concluding it's better to work than not to work."

So rather than fixing salaries, or prices, or housing, or any of a dozen other things to fix the labor shortage, ole Mitch wants people to be dirt poor to force them back to work.

You will note, Kentucky that before all that stimulus money made people not work, Kentucky had almost 1/5th of it's population living below the poverty line. I guess that is what ole Mitch wants to get back to, right?

Most politicians in Congress are millionaires so therefore most are out of touch.

Breaking news last few days is many White House staff are tired of chaos and lack of clear policy and direction.  Jen Psaki quit.  Who else will?

Jen Psaki announced her departure 2 months ago. White House press secretaries are under enormous pressure, so it's not usually a full-term gig. (They usually don't turn over as quickly as Trump's did, but that was different. lol)

dog, you'd already know that if you cared about any of this shit.

Uhm, I am LITERALLY talking about the Republican senator of a State, who has MUCH more direct influence over its economy than the President, but yeah, take the time to take a dig at Biden...

And where was Mitch during this? Or do you think Mitch has less of an impact on a state he represents than a president who is looking after the entire country?

Doesn't really matter what Mitch did or didn't do when Biden has thrown more people into poverty and homeless with record inflation, food cost, rent ect... I am more concerned about now than then!

Ok, and what is Mitch doing now? Oh that's right, he wants his people to not be in a place where they can survive, but in poverty so that they get back to jobs that weren't paying them enough to keep above the poverty line. Isn't that throwing people into poverty not with any help for them, but to MAKE them take jobs that don't pay enough to keep them above that line?

You post an op, want opinions then argue with the viewpoints of those that respond... I don't see the point of this!

It's a discussion, that is a back and forth not just saying your piece and expecting no response, isn't it?
