This is kind of stupid... You could not assign custody until you know the baby is born and needs the support. The baby could die before birth so it makes sense to wait till the baby is born. For certain legal purposes requirment for a person may be defined as having to be born but in other legal instances such as murder, the fetus is considered a person... So legal requirements can vary depending on the situation and one determination of a requirement as to who a person is does not define who is a person.
