Quote from: HighStepper on May 23, 2024, 10:17 PMNot in the most wildest of fantasy worlds, is there an equivalency between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. On election night Hillary called Trump to congratulate him. The next day Hillary gave a concession speech* which supported the peaceful transfer of power.
In 2016, 2.8 million more people voted for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton than Trump, but she lost the determining Electoral College vote. During a September 2019 interview on CBS, she blamed her loss on voting restrictions passed by some states before the 2016 election and Russian hacking of her campaign that was later confirmed by a U.S. Department of Justice investigation. So yes, Clinton and other Democrats bitched and moaned about the 2016 election not being on a level playing field. What they did not do is participate in conspiracies to change the election outcome after the fact. Unlike Donald Trump they did NOT inspire a mob of maniacs to storm the US Capitol.
*During her concession speech on the morning of November 9, 2016, she publicly acknowledged Trump's win and offered to work with him on behalf of the country. Despite her winning the popular vote, Clinton emphasized the importance of accepting the results and looking toward the future, stating, "Donald Trump is going to be our president. We owe him an open mind and the chance to lead. Our constitutional democracy enshrines the peaceful transfer of power. And we don't just respect that, we cherish it"

Election Deniers have happened throughout history with all parties.
No one mention election denier Hillary, LOL. She still says that election was stolen by the Russians in which Hillary spread many lies on Russian involvement, That coincidently was started by Hillary herself.
Quote from: Bande on May 23, 2024, 06:58 PMHillary lied and pushed the Russian involvement hoax. FACT. And to this day states the election was stolen. As stated all parties have had issues and yet Trump gets lamb Basted. Have you seen all the convictions for election fraud?? OF Course Not.. There was issues, now if enough to turn election who knows...This is what results when someone gets their information about the world from shitty sources.
Quote from: bats on May 20, 2024, 05:26 PMWe've got Clarence Thomas, whose wife was at the heart of the plan to "stop the steal" in January 2021. Now, Sam Alito blames his wife for flying their American flag upside-down in the days after Jan. 6.
And these guys are pretending there's no reason for them to recuse from cases involving Trump and his attempts to overturn the 2020 election.
Look, we all know that politicians appoint federal judges. But the overt bias shown by the current crop of far-right Supreme Court Justices is antithetical to the principle that justice is blind.
