Title: O'Reilly Message of The Day
Post by: Hobby on Mar 08, 2025, 10:01 PM
Another day, another tariff. Or Tariff pause. Or new deal. Or something.

Even I can't keep up and I get paid to watch the powers that be.  But unlike the vast majority of pundits, I know much of the stuff coming out of the Trump White House is political theatre - designed to bewitch, bother, and bewilder.

It's the art of the deal when the primary deal-maker doesn't really give a fig about public perception.  President Trump understands that memories are short.  It doesn't really matter how you get there as long as you arrive in style.

Trump will improve America's trade portfolio.  He is likely to get mineral deals in Ukraine and Greenland.  Panama already fired the Chinese companies working the canal and will drop shipping tolls on U.S. vessels.  Hamas will release the hostages. Iran will publicly shut up.

Putin and China are tougher.  Not sure how the President will handle those villains who are not outright intimidated by him. Big time chess game. No clear favorite.

So there you have it going into Daylight Savings Time, which Trump does not seem to like.

The sun should be very afraid.

I think this sums up Trump's activities.

Lying Bill trying to stay relevant. (my opinion). Notwithstanding my negative opinion of the person, his accretions that Trump leverages these tactics to keep both allies and opponents guessing, as an "art of the deal" is not without consequences.
Political theater as Trump's tariff strategies can have significant effects on markets and the U.S. economy.

So you can see these tactics as strategic moves to gain leverage in negotiations, they are also destabilizing to the American economy. So, basically Trump inherited the best economy in the world and now wants to fuck it up.
