A person starts a business and hires people to do a job.  That's it!  There should be no minimum wage. Employers should not have to collect and pay employees income taxes. Pay into social security. Pay overtime etc. The job should be offered and a person can accept or reject the job same as a contract.  The government has no business forcing a business to hire anyone. A employer should not be forced by government to hire from minority groups simply because these groups threaten politician's relection.  If a business is predujest then it's the public that decides to do business with that company not the government.  If a employer is having employees perform unsafe work and the employee is injured they should be able to sue the employer in court and collect damages.  Employer should not have to have workers comp. Employees can elect to have insurance to protect them if they are injured or become ill and can't work.  Government requirements and cost on small business is staggering making a small business almost impossible to start.

Years ago I had a friend whose uncle owed a large manufacturing company in California. The state told the uncle he has to have like 17% employment be minority.  That pist him off so the next day he fired 22 Mexican American employees so that he would have the 17%!

There is a lot to unpack here, so I will deal with the first part of your proposition relative to wages.

There should be no minimum wage. It is not the role of government to guarantee that people can earn a "living wage." If people need assistance because they don't earn enough, their income can be supplemented with government approved assistance programs. The promise of LIFE, LIBERTY and the PURSUIT of HAPPINESS is not the obligation of business. That is what our Constitution is for.

9:56 minute video Professor Friedman lectures on the proper role of government in a free society.
Freedom from want. How can you guarantee one person freedom from want, except by coercing another person, to provide the materials to be free from want.

John Stewart Mill,  the only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercise over a a member of a civilized community against his will is to prevent harm to others. His own good physical or moral is not a sufficient warrant.

5:20 minute Milton Friedman on the dangers of big business influencing government. There's a huge difference between freedom and coercion. And it's a difference we can only keep If we maintain a government with limited size, scope and role.
Being pro free enterprise is not the same as being pro business.

I don't care. I don't hire people so it's someone else's problem.

If you don't pay them enough it does become our problem, just like Walmart, most employees on assistance.

If the pay isn't enough they don't have to take the job.  If a employer can't fill the position based on wage offered then employer can raise the wage. Pretty simple.  I had a friend and  I mean had.  They guy is far far left progressive.  He says people need to be paid a higer wage they can live on otherwise they go out become criminals... he said if a person is shop lifting for food they should not be prosecuted for it...

Now I will say if a company can afford to pay a ceo and other officers millions of dollars per year something is terribly wrong the public should stop doing business with them until they lower their prices and lower the amount paid to ceo.

You may want to research that statement. Singling out a single company when the fact is no matter where one is employed many are on some kind of assistance. Usually the people that have no ambition to better themselves, expect it to be given...
Lots of businesses survey wages for similar jobs and pay accordingly..

[/qupeople.

Survey is the best way to determine how much to pay for that job.

When I worked for the state we went months without pay... the Supreme Court ruled we had to be paid at least the minimum wage....not California minimum the federal minimum wage... like WTF employers in the state have to pay the state's minimum but they state only has to pay the federal minimum... when Schwartzeneggr was governor and California was in financial crisis we had to take 3 days off without pay for 18 months.  The state regulates employers but the state does what it wants...go figure...
