Alina Habba: The DOJ wants to sway the public with a picture.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsbNvniCdzY

FBI picture of documents on the floor is a photo op. Alina Habba, a Trump lawyer, asks why DOJ should care about public opinion.

NEWSMAX commentator says FBI put pictures of Time Magazine to show he was keeping magazines that he was on the cover of. Why did they do that?

First the picture was not taken for public consumption. It was an evidence picture. Note the "2A" marker. Anyone that has seen Law & Order on TV knows what the picture is about. If you see an evidence picture of drugs, money, guns displayed on a table, no, the police didn't find it that way. These items are a display of what was found.

The picture with magazine and items on the floor were to show that Trump kept these items in his office mixed with other memorabilia.

The irony is the public would not have seen this picture had Trump's request for a special master had not been full of BS spin. This picture became a part of the DOJ response to the court.

Trumps response was that those weren't scattered on the floor, but were in a storage closet. Hey dummy you just admitted you had them.

I really hope Ms. Habba continues to appear on these "news" programs. Every time she opens her mouth she makes things worse for her client.

In the interview above, she says the Presidential Records Act gives Trump the authority to declassify, but the PRA doesn't seem to have anything to do with classification or declassification.

Last night on Fox News she said that the classified documents weren't strewn all over the floor as shown in the pic. (Duh.) She went on to say that the reason she knows that is that she has been in that office often. She also said that Trump frequently has guests in that office.

So, if we didn't know Trump was reckless with classified materials before, she clarified it for us.

She's also the one who signed an affidavit saying she had conducted a diligent search of the premises and found that there were no materials left to be turned over to the government. But the FBI, in their search last month, found twice as many classified documents as were turned over by Trump voluntarily.

Yeh well show anyone a picture or work of art and there will be individual interpretations right?
You all have probably seen those trick pictures where they ask you if you see one thing or the other.
It's never the case that everyone agrees on what they see.
Same with eye witnesses which is why they are somewhat unreliable.

@Hobby That's actually how I interpreted that picture too the first time I saw it but maybe I've watched too many crime shows where they lay out the evidence and take a picture of it...like rows and rows of guns or stacks and stacks of illegal drugs, skid marks from a car accident, bloody bodies at a murder.....per protocol.....without proper documentation of what investigators saw it's not very good evidence.

It is marked exhibit 2A evidence picture. Under oath testimony is when your question will be addressed. The investigators with testify to the particulars of what they saw.

I am sure the FBI took photos of every piece of evidence where it was discovered before they remove it.  From what I have read documents were everywhere and anywhere... I just can't get over how anyone could defend Trump on this one!
