House Republicans Want Hunter to Testify Behind Closed Doors

The Republican-led House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Hunter Biden to testify behind closed doors in their "investigation" into the president's supposed corruption. Hunter's lawyers wisely countered by insisting that their client be allowed to testify only in public:

"We have seen you use closed-door sessions to manipulate, even distort the facts and misinform the public. We therefore propose opening the door. If, as you claim, your efforts are important and involve issues that Americans should know about, then let the light shine on these proceedings."

While the Republicans are now saying the younger Biden will get a chance to testify publicly sometime after the closed-door deposition, we all know the Republicans would never let that happen because it would undermine their pre-election efforts to smear the president with the usual lies and innuendo.
