Former Democratic Senator Bob Menendez of New Jersey was sentenced to 11 years in prison by a federal judge today after his conviction on bribery and conviction charges.

It's a good thing Trump is now in charge, so we won't have to see these kinds of weaponized prosecutions against Republicans any longer! /s

He committed the crimes now he does the time.  Actually what I think is... he embarrassed too many powerful people and they didn't help him.

What I think is that he committed crimes, was charged and prosecuted under our system of laws by Biden's DOJ, and will now pay the price.

But if this exact scenario had played out with Trump as the defendant, he'd have been crying witch hunt, hoax, weaponization of the DOJ, etc., and the Proud Boys and all the rest would have started a literal riot.

He is now! I'm too lazy right now to find a video, but earlier I saw one of him saying Trump was right and it's a corrupt system, or words to that effect. lol 

Maybe he's angling for a pardon from Trump. If ol' Bob has any money left Trump would probably accept it in exchange!

What's really the point of putting him prison?  He won't be rehabilitate.  It cost a lot of money to keep him in prison.  Fine him like 1 million dollars. Take away some of his rights for 10 years.  Make him do community service every weekend for 10 years.  Perhaps not let him leave his city for 10 years.  Now if he was a violent person then yes he would be locked away so he could not hurt anyone...
