Well they now know where the onions for the McDonald's Quarter pounder's . It was a place in Salinas Ca.  But I am wondering why people in Caifornia did not get sick. Did they just ship it out of state and not use them in Ca. And then ship onions from out of state to Calif?  That is kind of dumb. To me it would be cheaper to use onions from Calif.

Probably a shipment or two sent out of state that was contaminated.  The remainder of the produce shipped elsewhere or what remained in California was just fine.

Just a guess..
We all got two lives, the second one begins when you realize you only have one.

Could be McDonald's contracted and bought the entire crop. Over 60% of Idaho potatoes are sold to McDonald's so all the contaminated onions could have gone McDonald's.
