Did the people on Jan 6th commit crimes?

So, various members of right-wing media such as Tucker Carlson and various nutjobs on Youtube have said that the people on Jan. 6th committed no crimes. They were just citizens who happen to go into Congress.

But, one important thing about all those things (especially Mr. Carlson), is that they are OPINIONS, with no basis in fact.

Below is an actual lawyer who goes through each of the different crimes that may have been committed by these "tourists", not only saying in his opinion what they may or may not have done but backing it up citing the US. Code and the interpretation as to why each potential crime may or may not apply to the people on Jan. 6th.

Fact, Donald Trump invited his followers to come to DC on Jan 6 for a wild time.

Fact, Donald Trump held a rally on Jan 6 in which he told the crowd to fight for their country or they would not have a country!

Fact, After the rioting began Donald Trump did nothing to stop it until some time later in the day and then it was weak and encouraging basically thanking the rioters for breaking into the capital.

Donald Trump belongs in prison for what he caused...

Trump did say we will walk to the capital peacefully and when we get there fight like hell!
