McCarthy Gives Tucker Carlson Access to 1/6 Capitol Surveillance Footage

It's hard to tell whether this is purely a political stunt for fundraising purposes or if Carlson will eventually use it to produce the kind of propaganda we're accustomed to seeing from him.

In any case, assuming it's true that Carlson's team has exclusive access to the more than 40,000 hours of security footage surrounding the events of 1/6, it's a bizarre and suspicious act by the Speaker of the House.

Presumably, he's doing this to pander to the January 6th conspiracy theorists who believe the rioting was something other than what it so obviously was. I don't even know what their theories are because it's hard to keep up with so much crazy.

Yeah and The F.B.I., D.O.J. along with other politicians never fabricated evidence. Sworn testimony with the current politicians does not mean shit. Hell they swear to uphold the Constitution and can not even do that..

For the most part "live" video does tell the truth, although context matters. Note, however, that you're already suggesting that whatever video clips are eventually shown by Carlson will tell us something that would support the crazy conspiracy theories of the 1/6 deniers. Yet you haven't seen any video from Carlson.

That kind of preconception of what the video would show might be all that comes of this among the nutters. That's because it's going to be difficult for any further "investigation" to show anything other than what we've already seen. Hundreds of people who were there have been charged and convicted based on video evidence, some of it shot by the rioters themselves.

What's likely to happen is that Carlson's team will comb through the video and find very little that will help them in producing their propaganda. That might be the reason we haven't seen anything pop up yet despite the claim that the "real" truth is buried somewhere in the 40,000 hours of video.
