Failure in Reporting on the Assassination Attempt

Almost everyone is assuming a bullet hit Trump. And it might be an accurate assumption. However, some information suggests the possibility that it was flying debris from a bullet nearby.

From a local outlet the day after the shooting:

11 Investigates has learned that four Pittsburgh police officers assigned to the former president's motorcade yesterday suffered minor injuries during the shooting.

The four motorcycle officers were part of Donald Trump's escort to and from the rally in Butler.

Sources tell Chief Investigator Rick Earle the officers were just feet away from Trump when shots rang out. The four officers suffered minor injuries from flying debris caused by the bullets.

Sources say the officers were hit with either plastic or metal fragments when the bullets struck objects nearby.

They were treated at the scene. They were okay to escort Trump back to the airport in Pittsburgh last night after he was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Does it matter? There's no question he was hit by something, and there was blood. What's the difference?

The difference lies in whether the media has been too timid to press the Trump campaign for the facts. Because that's another part of the story—there has been no medical report. Doesn't the voting public have a right to know what specific injuries were sustained by the guy who may again be president? We sure got the details in the attempted assassination of Reagan.

I haven't seen what the FBI said. And Trump has always been secretive about his health, so maybe that's all it is.

But Trump is enough of a showman to know that being hit by a bullet is a better story than being grazed by shrapnel.

Below is a photo of Trump reportedly taken 2 weeks after he said a bullet "pierced" his ear. I'm no medic, but WTF!
 
If Trump bore even the slightest resemblance to any decent human being, he would have minimized the "damage" to his poor ear and focused solely on the guy who was killed. Instead, he paid lip service to that guy and made a big fucking deal about how he took a bullet for democracy.

And his supporters believe that shit.

There's several videos on YouTube by firearms experts(ex-military, LE, etc) that say he was hit by a bullet, the FBI says the same thing.
