New Constitutional Amendment

With both houses almost split 50/50 by party I would like to see amendment that would require a 75% yes vote in both houses to pass or the bill dies.  By requiring 75% would insure bipartisan participation not allowing a political party to control congress.  It would put an end to the petty arguing attacking and fighting we see happening to where opposing parties would have to get along if they want their bill passed.  In the beginning parties like little kids will fight each other but would soon learn to cooperate and work together as they should have doing all along.  Your thoughts?

This would ensure nothing gets passed since neither party usually crosses their own lines too often.  Too bad it goes that way and both parties constituents can't routinely think for themselves!

It will if they have no other choice.  We have had lots of bills passed with majority of higher than 7. If the news media is involved and their constituents see they are not cooperating could cause problem if the bill is a good bill.

During Obama's administration, the Republican party prided itself on making it's priority obstruction rather than their jobs and most got reelected with no problems
