I found Musk's chainsaw wielding escapade very rude and insensitive.
I feel he did it for show and to get attention.
I would not have expected better from him though given the way employees at his companies have been treated.
However many of those being fired have families to support, bills to pay, lives to live, and so on.
Being laid off or fired is not fun for most people and therefore should not be celebrated or mocked in the way Musk did.

Amazing that Trump has uncovered all kinds of fraud wasteful spending employees not qualified for their job the left complains about what Trump is doing and don't want to discuss what has been found and what should be done about it.

Trump appointed Elon Musk an outsider who can't be bought to look into this and all the left media does attacks Trump for doing this.  I think it is brilliant to have a independent look in and advise what is happening in our federal government.  They left media can't explain or support what has been found so they resort to scare tactics.

I am not surprised there is waste and lazy people that do nothing in jobs.
I saw plenty of them when I was working.

However, I'll point out one thing.
The people being fired never reported to Musk.  He was never their boss.
So how is it that he can judge whether they should be fired or not?
Is it based on performance or something else????

Why do you believe these claims without questioning them? Musk is making cuts based on nothing more than brief descriptors that he doesn't think sound right. That's not the same as identifying fraud and waste.

As an example, he made a big show of how $59 million was supposedly being spent to house undocumented immigrants at a fancy hotel in New York. But it doesn't take much effort to learn that that claim was mostly bullshit.

As for employees not qualified for their job, that's hilarious because he's not qualified to make those judgments.

Quote from: Hobby on Yesterday at 07:05 PMJudges make their ruling on their opinion and that's why a ruling can be appealed and overturned by a higher court. Cases like this the judges are not constitutional judges and is why cases that go before the Supreme Court the lower court ruling is over turned.  So I expect Trumps lawyer team knew there would be lower court rulings against them but once the case goes before the Supreme Court is where these attorneys expertise is and will win.
Federal judges at any of the three levels can and do interpret questions of constitutional law. There is a hierarchy of authority, but that doesn't mean the lower court judges aren't "constitutional judges," whatever that means.

I don't even want to start on the idea that Trump's attorneys are apparently saving their expertise for the Supreme Court.

They are send emails to fire people and say it was for bad job performance. That's fucked up

They are eliminating jobs across the board non discriminatory.  Once the government is cleaned out they will reevaluate and hire based on knowledge, experience and education.

It would be almost impossible and take probably years to look at every job and make a determination.  So laying off everyone is probably the most fair and efficient way of doing this.  It's long overdue!

As far as saying poor or bad job performance they probably need a reason because of unions.

According to the fact checking site Snopes and U.S. Treasury data, 25% of the United States' total national debt was accrued during the Trump administration. The surge in debt was largely due to the $3.7 trillion in pandemic relief offered to Americans, Snopes reported.

According to U.S. Treasury data, the national debt level rose by $7.8 trillion during Trump's four years as president, which is about 25% of the current $31 trillion in national debt.

Why is clearing out the workforce long overdue? Do you have evidence to suggest that the federal workforce is inherently inefficient in ways that could be rectified through a thoughtless purge, as is happening now?

As for unions, they don't make laws. Are you saying federal government employees should not be able to bargain collectively? Why?
