haven't watched more than 15 seconds or so and don't know her explanation or method, but somewhere back in my engineering training....or maybe some logic course I recognized the pattern to the easy answer of very close to 5000 so 5050 it is. There's a name for how to ball park things but I don't recall that.

Yep.  how could I forget?  We used that phrase a lot when sitting around during planning stage/budget meetings for some $100 million interchange reconstruction.
