Would not really matter if the prosecutor will prove anything...may not go to court...but the protestors could be hauled in and held for 24 hrs without any charges being brought.... just saying.

Sir, you are wrong. It is a form of Intimidation in front of residences as it states and could be done legally in front of a court house per say..

This is why federal law prohibits picketing or parading in front of the home of a judge, juror, witness, or officer of the court under pain of up to one year in prison. Efforts to intimidate people within the legal system are an offense against judicial independence, a key prerequisite to democracy. If protesters want to demonstrate outside the Supreme Court, that is fine. But going into a judge's neighborhood and marching in front of his or her home is too far. It is a dangerous act of intimidation that should be roundly criticized.

This law enacted in 1950 would indicate that even peaceful protestors are in violation of the law if they picket or protest in front of a judge's home.

Protesting in front of a person's house goes as far back as the Eastman Kodak hiring practices protest in the 1960's when people gathered in front of company executives mansions in Rochester New York.

Did these peaceful protestors know that there was a law that created an exception to the 1st amendment right of freedom of assembly and freedom of speech? Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

Individuals found in violation of this law could be fined, sentenced to up to one year in prison, or both. So in this specific case, what should be done? Warning with disbursement? Citation for violation? Arrest with book and release?

Not only are these protestors violating Federal law they are violating a county ordinance in Maryland against picketing in front of house.

I wonder if they would enforce the laws if it was conservatives picketing in front of a leftist judge's house.

Sorry, guys. I was looking at the statute that Bill Barr said was being violated--18 U.S. Code § 1503. The statute on picketing and parading (18 U.S. Code § 1507) would appear to apply to these protesters.

There might be a constitutional issue with the statute, however, as it might be interpreted as violating the protesters' First Amendment rights.

It is against Federal Law to intimidate anyone involved in a Federal case. Especially in front of Private Residences.
Now, If one is protesting in front of a court house per say that is different.

Well the SCOTUS Security bill passed the House even though 27 Democrats voted against it, they were the usual suspects who hate this country and law & order: Maxine Waters, AOC, etc
