Chris Christie announces he's dropping out of 2024 presidential race
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBoEhlQe6bw

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie announced he's suspending his 2024 presidential campaign on Wednesday in an event in Windham, New Hampshire.

12:46 minutes on Video covering Chris Christie's remarks.

"Being booed for telling the truth is a badge of honor."

"It is clear to me that there isn't a path for me to win the nomination, which is why I'm suspending my campaign."

"I want to promise you I will make sure that in no way I will enable Donald Trump to ever be president again. That is more important than any personal ambition."

He calls out the cowardice of Republicans that don't speak the truth in public, but only in private. Republicans who endorse Trump and know better. To call the rioters of Jan 6th "hostages" is wrong, done out of ambition and cowardness.
Too much sex is still not enough.

It was a good speech IMO. I saw it earlier when it was breaking news.

He didn't have a chance like I've said many times.

Are we having fun yet?

Becuase I read the news, like how California is facing a $68 billion deficit but no Democrat wants to talk about that. lol

Oh they are talking about it.....more taxes !

Romanticlover

Yeah so we taxpayers can pay for free healthcare for illegals and other stupid social utopian programs.

I have not heard much about the CA budget except there is a whopping $68B deficit.  Where did that come from ?!  I remember years ago when there was a ~$30B deficit they fixed it and swore that would never happen again. Wasn't there supposed to be a rainy day fund as one way to cushion against deficits?  Once again, if I managed my money like the government does I might be living in a cardboard box on Market St. (?)

Nobody's talking about more taxes. Instead, Newsom wants to delay some planned spending and cut some social and environmental programs, as well as use some of the emergency funds that were put away for this kind of event.

This stuff is not hard to find. It's in all the papers, yet you guys would rather make shit up. lol

bats....I do watch news and I'm not making things up.  Why do you think I said what I said?

or any one of several other stories about it.  Google to find them.
Is your theory now going to be those stories are fake?  Or can anyone admit I may be RIGHT occasionally.....

Okay, you're right, someone was talking about more taxes. But your reply was to RL's comment that "Democrats" don't want to talk about the projected deficit.

But that's not a serious discussion. It went nowhere before and it'll go nowhere this time.
