Look at all the Democrats whose ancestors owned slaves. Biden and Obama are on the list, does Obama have to pay reparations to himself? lol

HA HA HA about Obama?  All this BS is a distraction because the "sagging orange" is freaking out huge time.  I'm laughing so hard.

And your point is what?

A significant number of African Americans are descendants of slave owners,
since the slave owners made babies with their slaves.

Too much sex is still not enough.

I thought it was funny and ironic that Democrats call Trump racist when their own ancestors actually were racist slave owners.

Senator Warren lied about her ancestry to get into Harvard, it figures she's a Democrat who's ancestors owned slaves.

A good number of Republicans are descended from/had ties to people who were in the KKK. What does that have to do with the person now? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ku_Klux_Klan_members_in_United_States_politics

What does something that happened 200 years ago have to do with today?

Republicans are quick to say "Stop judging Trump on the past" and yet THIS comes up? Sigh, hypocrisy thy name is Republicans...

Quote from: Romanticlover on Jun 27, 2023, 03:23 PMThe KKK was founded by southern Democrats, nice try though.

Have you heard of Sen. Robert Byrd(D-WV)?

Sure, let's completely ignore the well-established history of the Democratic Party and just pretend that the old Southern Democrats didn't form the base of today's Republicans. It's such common knowledge that I don't even have to provide the sources for this information.

Still, every so often some right-winger spouts this nonsense, apparently under the mistaken impression that they're making a valid point.

They said-they said when they are all the same.  See my post on that topic elsewhere.  It's hilarious to me how people here narrow-mindedly promote their own viewpoints and think everything else is wrong.  I'm not buying it.

It's not nonsense, Sen Robert Byrd is a valid point.
He was given a eulogy by Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden at his funeral, they said he was a great friend and mentor.
Since when is a member of the KKK a great mentor?

Umm yo.....that's politics.   They change their mind and explain shit away to fit their current agenda......all of them BTW.    LMAO.  Make a better case.

It was the man's funeral. They were colleagues. He had long since apologized for his prior racism and several times stated publicly that his past involvement with the KKK was his biggest mistake.

So, no, it's not a valid point at all. It's cherry-picking something that suits your narrative.

What aren't you buying? I mean, I get that you're claiming some people here are narrow-minded and that you, unlike those fools, are above it all. But do you have a point other than that?
