I am not in favor of abortion but I do believe the state should not have control that this is a individuals right no one should force a woman to remain pregnant. Teenagers minors should not be able to recieve medical services without their parents consent except in life threatening emergency.

Much better than a Muslim country where women have no rights, can't vote, can't get an abortion, can't get a tattoo, can't protest, etc.

That's what annoys me the most with the blu-haired woke women, they don't realize how good they have it in western
countries.

You get that there are women in THIS country who didn't have those rights either, even as small a thing as HAVING a bank account/credit cards of their own until 1974 right?

Nowadays we have people still denied the ability to get married, have a say over their spouses' medical decisions and basic health services over, oh yeah, RELIGION, in this case Christianity, just as in Muslim countries with those other rights...

From the beginning, the idea in America has been that the government should not promote or endorse ANY religion. This is literally in the First Amendment.

Yet we have all these Christians nutjobs trying to give the government a Christian makeover. It's anti-American, and whether it's better or worse than how things are in other countries is entirely irrelevant.

Iran is an Islamic Republic.
Israel was founded as a Jewish state.
The Vatican was founded as the seat of the Catholic church
where the Pope resides.

Would you call those people "nutjobs"?

BTW: the founding fathers were Protestants and included God in many of their writings

Were they "nutjobs"?

Nope, but they quite clearly wanted religion out of their government because of the state religion from England, which persecuted them thus establishing a separation of church and state.

The most famous use of the metaphor was by Thomas Jefferson in his 1802 letter to the Danbury Baptist Association. In it, Jefferson declared that when the American people adopted the establishment clause they built a "wall of separation between the church and state."

Jefferson had earlier witnessed the turmoil of the American colonists as they struggled to combine governance with religious expression. Some colonies experimented with religious freedom while others strongly supported an established church.

Both Jefferson and fellow Virginian James Madison felt that state support for a particular religion or for any religion was improper. They argued that compelling citizens to support through taxation a faith they did not follow violated their natural right to religious liberty. The two were aided in their fight for disestablishment by the Baptists, Presbyterians, Quakers, and other "dissenting" faiths of Anglican Virginia.

Harris Walz are good people (I wish I had a dad like Tim Walz).  They are real and authentic.  Today, a client who was for trump told me he is voting for Harris because she cares about the people.

Just a thought, what are MAGA going to do with Trump-Vance-Musk fake goverment that's for them and only them?  I think it will be mass chaos, murders, torture especially for women and children.  None of those men have any respect for the collective female.  It's just a hole for them to dump their sperm.  They want pussy but want to kill her.

This isn't about comparing America's ideals to places where religion plays a more dominant role in government. And it doesn't matter at all that many of the founders were Christians.

The point is that they explicitly prohibited the government from establishing any religion or preventing its people from freely exercising their chosen religion.

To suggest that a Christian nation would be all right because it might be better than theocracies elsewhere is completely missing the point.

The US was founded by Christians and most Americans today identify as Christian, even though they might not be church-going Bible-thumpers. I would rather live in  a Christian country than a Muslim one, millions want to immigrate to the US(and other western countries) because of the freedoms and opportunities we have.

Republicans are NOT forcing their religion on anyone else, we believe in the First Amendment...especially freedom of speech.

Republicans also believe in the Second Amendment, the right to bear arms.
I thought it was hilarious that Harris said last week she owns a gun and will use it if someone breaks into her home, the other night Walz says he owns guns and goes hunting.

Why are they saying that now instead of four years ago when all the riots were going on?
Four years ago they were saying "Guns are bad and we need more gun control."
lol

They've been working toward it for decades and are continuing to progress. All you have to do is look at the federal courts. The Supreme Court now has an oppressive Christian majority, and that is because of Republicans.

Also, take a look at Project 2025.

TODAY like you I would rather live in a Christian Country than a Muslim one if you are talking about Western European and the Nordic countrys. However, life for non-Christians during the Spanish Inquisition, established in 1478, was extremely harsh and perilous. Today, non Muslims in a Muslim country can be viewed a heritic, an affront to Allah, which is considered an extremely serious crime.
All that being said I don't want America to become MAGA = Make America Godly Again.

Republican Mike Huckabee would change the Constitution established by the Founding Fathers to have God's law take priority.  Link

Enough with the "evil, oppressive, nutjob Christians" talk, it's getting old and frankly it's bigoted.
I don't hear Democrats make fun of other religions.

As for a Republican majority on the SCOTUS, it's nice to have common sense and morals return to our nations highest court.

As for Project 2025, Trump has nothing to do with that and has said several times he is not in favor of it.

Bigoted? I don't think that word means what you think it means. To be bigoted toward a group is to dislike all members of the group based on prejudice and unreasonable intolerance.

I have a problem with Christians in public life who continue their march toward oppressing those unlike themselves. I refer to those people as Christians because they use their religious beliefs as justification for their oppressive goals.

Plenty of Christians live their lives without interfering in other people's lives. Those Christians, I'm fine with. It's the ones who keep messing with the lives of people I care about that I consider oppressive.

And Democrats don't make noise about members of other religions because those people aren't trying to force their morality on the rest of us.

If you honestly believe Trump is disconnected from Project 2025, you're high. If elected, he'll do whatever they want so long as it gets him something he wants. You'd have to be incredibly naive not to know that.

So, you are saying that fundamentalist Christians are NOT forcing their beliefs on abortion on others?
