Donald Trump's third bid for the White House was arguably his most misogynistic yet, and his supporters heard the message loud and clear
From MAGA podcasts and tweets:

"I'm just a girl, standing in front of the world, asking for a president who isn't a rapist"
REQUEST DENIED!!!!

"The feel when we control your bodies. Hey bitch, we control your bodies! Guess what, guys win again! And yes, we control your bodies. Hi! I'm your republic congressman."

"Your body, MY choice. Forever"
That last one is from someone Trump had join him for dinner at Mar-A-Lago btw

"A text campaign—and obvious hate crime—issued a threat to students of color across the nation, claiming the recipients had been "selected" as "house slaves" and were due to appear at plantations.

One message shared online demanded that its recipient appear at Abingdon Plantation.
"This is mandatory," the message read. "Sincerely, Trump administration."

Activists celebrating Trump's win overtook Texas State University at the school's San Marcos campus, raising signs that read, "Women are property," "Homo sex is sin," and lists that designated women and slaves under "Types of Property."

There will 100% be dumb fkers on both sides.

To extremism on either side, I say let's kick their ass together.

As for the average person on the other side, I say. Let me buy them lunch and let's chat and find common ground.

That is an admirable course of action to take, which unfortunately, IMHO, will mostly only work on the one on one interactions. When it comes to societal trends and broad public polices it is doubtful that civil discourse will prevail. Misogynist is such a higly charged pejorative term, like racist, communist, socialist which are bandied around with little appreciation of nuance, if not complete ignorance of the full meanings of those words.

In full disclosure, I've not given close analysis to the identified rhetoric posted here. However, it is not surprising that the extremist point of view has become more embolden. Consider the pod cast comments of JD Vance vice-president elect, Tucker Carlson, and other commentators on the Right. One might argue that misogynist is too strong a word, but certainly they are paternalistic at the minimum. The Proud Boys demand its members honor the housewife. But, that respect is dependent on enforcing strict gender roles that rely on patriarchal authority. Link
Too much sex is still not enough.

You won't find any common ground with blkfly... Voters are well aware of who Trump and his supporters are.  Trump won a large number of electoral votes and the popular vote.  Bashing these guys is a waste of time.  I just hope in 4 years America doesn't regert electing Trump.  Yes everyone should look for common ground and try to get along help each other as much as we can.  I don't like Trump but he will be the next president and won't bad mouth him when he is in office.  I will do what I can to support him even if  I disagree.

It's funny how 33% of the non-whites voted in Trump, 44% of women voted for Trump, but it's still the white men who are Trumpsters.  Democrats are right now cannibalizing each trying to blame everyone and their grandma as to why they lost the election.  Instead of trying to actually see why they lost, they just want someone to blame.  Imagine how bad Hilary was that most of the country preferred Trump over her.  Then they got to experience 4 years of Trump and realized that they were wrong and it couldn't get any worse and voted in Biden.  Imagine their surprise when Biden was like, "Hold my beer(while holding ice cream)" and did an even worse job than Trump.  So bad that they went and reversed course and said, "We'll take Trump back".  Imagine knowing everything their is to know about Trump, a criminal and so forth, and they still all would rather vote him back in than vote for Harris.  That's how bad the Democratic candidate was in 2016 and 2024.  But to the Democrats, it's always everyone's fault but their own.  At least Trump was able to figure out what failed him in 2020 and fixed that.  So is Trump and his cohorts idiots or are they all evil geniuses who can manipulate everyone who voted for him?  Everyone keeps saying he's both.

There's been some of that, but there has also been plenty of introspection. You're slanting it in one direction when that's not the case.

Who's "everyone?" I'm not sure who's been calling them idiots OR evil geniuses. They're incredibly persistent in their lies, that's for sure.

And not small lies, as we know. The Big Lie, which Trump and his allies have been pushing for four years, has taken hold to the point where a majority of voters either believed it (most Republicans) or thought it didn't matter (a lot of Democrats).

If that's because of Trump's ability to "figure out what failed him in 2020," then the electorate has sunk to a very dark place.
