Today, the President of the United States went before the press, on camera, and rattled off some of the social security figures shown in Musk's tweet. At the conclusion of the video, he said "We have a very corrupt country, and it's a sad thing to say."

The good news, he said, is that "if you take all of those millions of people off Social Security, then we all of the sudden have a very powerful Social Security."

Hard to tell whether he's a goddamned idiot or trolling, but from the comments his supporters seem to buy this nonsense hook, line, and sinker.

U.S. Census reports around 100,000 Americans are 100 years old or older. NOT millions and millions people like Trump claims. What is hard to fathom, is why all these MAGA people keep going along with all his exageations and BS.

What Musk and Trump are suggesting is that the numbers in Musk's table are themselves evidence of fraud in the Social Security system. What their stupid followers don't get is that these numbers lack context, and undoubtedly mean something else entirely.

I think both Musk and Trump know very well that their followers will believe anything they tell them, no matter how ridiculous.

Yesterday, Trump's DHS announced a new ad campaign supposedly aimed at illegal immigrants. Not included in the announcement was the budgeted cost of $200 million, as reported by Semafor.
