Democrats are already saying we need more gun control after this tragedy.
"Because it's always the guns fault not the crazy person holding it."

Following that logic we should ban vehicles because they cause deaths.
Are we having fun yet?

Nobody is claiming that the gun fires itself. But we know there is a high correlation between deaths caused by guns and the number of guns in circulation.

I suppose that's the price of freedumb.

Seems Democrats are more concerned about guns than babies killed by abortion! Sad

Seems like Republicans are more concerned about gun rights than children killed by them! Sad

Yes they are, many Democrat politicians say the same thing every time we have a mass shooting*.

*unless it's gang related then they don't say another word because Democrats don't want to offend gang members.

You've made two incredibly stupid statements in the same post. Congrats.

Saw this on Twitter today, and it seemed apt:

Vehicles are required by law to be registered and the operator to be licensed.

The NRA likes to frame the issue as Democrats vs. Republicans.

Better background checks are wanted by most citizens (90%) be they gun owners or not, be they Democrat or Republican.

A gun survey in 2015 and found that 22% of gun owners who reported obtaining their most recent firearm within the previous two years reported doing so without a background check. For firearms purchased privately, including sales between individuals in person, online or at gun shows, 50% were obtained without a background check.

There is NO equivalency between an abortion that results from the mother, father, doctor considering the pros and cons with school children being gun down at an elementary school. This is not even a debatable issue for the majority of people.

Wasn't a issue for debate, just my opinion that Democrats only care about what gets votes and not the people!

It's not ridiculous if it's true.

Gov. Newsom(D) jumped on the bandwagon and said it was Republican's fault we have so many mass shootings.
These recent shooters had a history of mental illness but hadn't been convicted of any felonies so the gun laws wouldn't have stopped these tragedies. Chicago and NYC have the strictest gun laws in the US but people are killed by guns every week there.

And so does California have strict gun laws.  Here in Pahrump, we have open carry loaded haven't heard of any mass shootings here.

By the way, HS, driver's license requirement is required only on public roads, there is no requirement when operating on private property.

Too much publicity of the shootings is what I attribute as the main reason.  These wackos want to make national news and the media obliges. What the media should do is to not disclose the name of the shooter.

If you express an opinion in a political forum, you can expect to have discussion/debate/pushback on your opinion.

First of all I'm not a fan of comparing cars to guns, however that seems to be a typical response to gun regulation.

The vehicle is still registered as "Planned Non Operation" so the vehicle will not be driven, towed, stored, or parked on public roads or highways for the entire registration year.

You are correct that a non licensed driver can operate a vehicle on private property. To carry the analogy, would this mean that not being licensed to operate a gun the gun must never leave private property?

How about background checks for people who drink or use drugs... don't issue licenses to them!  More kids are killed per year by driving under the influence than by mass shootings. Wonder how many politicians drink and drive?
