If you embrace conservative principles and dislike the liberal progressive agenda, then you are in a solid alignment with Liz Cheney. Three times elected to the House of Representatives is one of the most conservative, if not THE most conservative, member of the House.

Liz Cheney won the prestigious John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award.

Unlike the Republican leadership, Liz Cheney did not go along with the big lie propagated by Trump that the election was stolen from him. She said she loves the Republican Party, but she loves her country more.

After losing her primary election, Cheney's concession speech was more a call to arms.

No one believes that Cheney can win the nomination for President, let alone the Presidency. However, her purpose is to be a thorn in Trump's side. To work so that Trump never becomes President again.

Liz Cheney gives voice to, and the leader of, the 20% of the Republicans that have not bought into the Trump Kool-Aid. So many prominent Republicans left the Party because of the sickening aspect of Trump.  Now we can have the rise of "Liz Cheney Republicans" those patriots dedicated to preservation of our Constitution and democracy.

I have respect for Liz but she lost big-time in her re-election to a pro-Trump candidate.
She doesn't stand a Cheney chance in 2024, she's the Republican equivalent to Tulsi Gabbard.

Liz will be forgotten just like Tulsi Gabbard was after she left Congress.
She will NOT be a thorn in Trump's side, he still has strong support in most of the country as you can see with the pro-Trump candidate beating her.

Liz will probably get a job on some news outlet or write a book.

Liz would be a thorn like some consider the Green Party to be a thorn in the Democrat's side. Oh, they mainly believe the same thing just not as stridently. The issue with the Green Party is there have been times when a Democrat has lost due to a percent or two. And guess what the Green party got in that same locale? Yup, a percent or two. If those votes had gone to the Democratic candidate they could have won, instead, it was a loss.

The same could happen with Liz. Sure, she won't win, but one or two percent can cost an election...

I think a better analogy would be Ross Perot in 1992, he ruined it for Bush and Billy Bubba became President.
Mike Pence has a better chance of becoming President than Liz Cheney, like I said earlier, she will be forgotten.

Liz Cheney, registered an independent,  I was at one time a registered republican and supporter until I took issue with Newt after he won the house and abandon the middle. I "may have contributed some $ and ...". Back to Liz! I will support her! With $! She doesn't need to win to change the party and American.

As to the Cheney being a Thorn, she pushes Trump's buttons. He can't help it and just let things go.

After Cheney is blasted out of Republican Party relevance, she, like you say will probably be a TV commentator and write a book, like Mike Steele former Chairman of the Republican National Committee.

I will never forget Tulsi Gabbard. However, I agree with you that she will probably lose all political relevance.

I doubt if Liz Cheney will run as an independent. Her goal is to not have Trump become President again, so she is not going to do anything that would take votes away from Trump's competitor in the general election.
