I saw a video tonight where the guy raised a good point. If Trump has never done anything wrong and the trial was rigged, as Trump insists, then why didn't he testify in his own defense?

If it was rigged, and the convictions were already in the bag, then what would have been the risk of him testifying? Obviously, he has the right not to testify, but if it's a rigged game, then why wouldn't he at least want to get some things into the record?

Also, if he did nothing wrong, then where were the witnesses who might have contradicted the testimony that, according to the jury, proved that he did commit the charged crimes? Did his lawyers give up because they thought it was a rigged game?

There are so many questions, yet so few answers from the Trump camp to such basic questions.

Danno

Trump wanted his body guard that was outside the hotel room while they did the dead. To testify that Stormy was never in the room, guess he was smart enough to say no.

Lots of opinions by talking heads that dont mean shit.... Appeals will either overturn or confirm verdict.

Anything his disciples and apostles can do, to raise all the money they can to try and keep him out of jail to sit in the oval room again to carry out retribution to all that tried to nail him to a modern cross.
Try to have a good time.

2:48 video on House Judiciary Committee hearing, Rep. Ben Cline (R-VA) questioned Trey Trainor, Commissioner of the Federal Election Commission about the legal troubles of former President Trump and alleged collaboration with President Biden's DOJ.

This will be sorted out on appeal. Meanwhile, whinny baby Trump may have a legitimate bitch about Alvin Brag for bringing this case. However, he should shut his lying mouth about the Jury and the judge. Trump got a fair trial. Should there have been a trial, again that will be argued at the appellate court.

Fair trial in a area that 90% voted for Biden? I would say Hardly...
Appeal will sort it out for sure.... We will see..

Prospective jurors were called into the courtroom and asked if they could be fair and impartial. Those who said they couldn't were dismissed immediately. Some of these people were Trump fans. The jurors that said they could be fair and impartial were individually questioned by lawyers for both the prosecution and defense. Each side could reject up to 10 prospective jurors without reason. If Trump was so concerned about a NY jury pool, he should have committed his crimes in Alabama.

This is yet another Trump talking point. But to buy into that nonsense one has to cynically underestimate their fellow citizens.

Now Republicans in the House want a say in the conviction. They want the federal court to overturn the verdict.
