Harris is leading the national avg over Trump by 3 points now. That's the popular vote.  Harris must secure a majority of Electoral votes to win.  I think Trump's numbers are as high as they will get.  Harris numbers can climb from voters breaking away from Trump now that Biden is not the democrats candidate.  I really believe come November polls will have Harris at 48 to 51 and Trump at 43 44

Yes, you make a good point. There seems to be a natural tendency to having politicians explants their "flip flop" change in position.

However, we are so use to Trump flip flopping we hardly question it about him anymore. Donald Trump has changed his position on abortion 16 times.
