Yup, twice Trump has had someone point a gun in his direction with the intention of ending him, and twice again, it's NOT a liberal doing it, but a Trump supporter who *legally* had the guns he had and tried to kill Trump.

This, despite being previously arrested in 2002 with a fully automatic machine gun, still had access to an AK-47 today.

The gunman is a white male named Ryan Wesley Routh, 58 was convicted in 2002 of possessing a weapon of mass destruction. Citing online North Carolina Department of Adult Correction records. Link

Routh voted Democratic in the 2024 primary election in North Carolina, and he voted in person, according to the North Carolina State Board of Elections. He appears to be registered as an unaffiliated voter. Routh wrote: @realDonaldTrump While you were my choice in 2106, I and the world hoped that president Trump would be different and better than the candidate, but we all were greatly disappointment and it seems you are getting worse and devolving," he wrote in a June 2020 post. "I will be glad when you gone." Link

Trump is lucky so far only amateur snipers have taken shots at him.  Would anyone here now stand next to Trump on a golf course?  I wouldn't get within a mile of him.

Reports indicate that Routh supported Trump in 2016 and became disgusted on how Trump carried out his Presidency. His beef had nothing to do with Biden/Harris rhetoric.

Apparently from what I know this guy did not fire a single round. All the shots were from Secret Service. If this true then I don't know if the guy can be charge for assignation attemp.  Is it illegal to point a rifle at someone?

He was camping out at that spot for 12 hrs(2am-1:30pm) and his intent was to shoot Trump, whether he fired a round or not is irrelevant. He was a felon in possession of an illegal firearm(ghost gun) so he's looking at least 10 years in prison.

This nut was NOT allowed to have weapons, had a Harris Bumper sticker and obviously does not like Trump.

What I find interesting is the last guy, who DID shoot had an obvious political affiliation. And yet conservatives downplayed that saying it was immaterial as the guy was a nutjob.

Yet *every* conservative is playing up that after voting for Trump and being disillusioned by him and now voting democrat, THAT is what is important here.
