During the press event in the Oval Office earlier this week, Musk assured everyone of "maximal transparency." He cited the DOGE.gov website as a place where people can see evidence of all the money he's saving us.

At the time he made that claim, the website had no content, but why split hairs when we're talking about taxpayer money!

For a couple of days now, there has been some content, but a lot of it is links redirecting to Musk's own site, "X."

Not only that, but according to this article on wired.com, the DOGE.gov "source code shows that the site's canonical tags direct search engines to x.com rather than DOGE.gov."

Now, I don't know much about canonical tags, but I'm smart enough to know a scam when I see one.

Around 400 NNSA staff at the Energy Department fired as part of Musk's government cost-cutting initiatives. The National Nuclear Safety Administration is now dealing with the repercussions of this "massive mistake" which has raised security concerns. Dumbass Musk was unaware that the NNSA is in charge of the nuclear stockpile. NNSA employees play crucial roles in designing and maintaining US nuclear weapons, producing and dismantling armaments, providing the Navy with nuclear reactors for submarines, and tackling nuclear emergencies Link

Nuclear agency struggles to contact fired employees to inform them their termination was rescinded. Link

Government funding has at times been a  form of bailout for some of Musk's risky business decisions. However, when he fucks up government who bails out government?

Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett on Sunday made what she called an "admission to MAGA" about immigrants taking jobs.

...

"There's an immigrant taking people's jobs... his name is Elon Musk," the lawmaker wrote. "He's snatching farms, government jobs (even those in which they manage our national security), and definitely those whose jobs are to root out fraud (inspector generals), & those that are keeping us safe (FAA), meals on wheels workers, head start, and the list goes on, so I'll be the bigger person and admit to MAGA that I was wrong when I said immigrants wouldn't take our jobs. You were 1000 percent correct."

Over the weekend, as part of the DOGE plan to wreck the federal government, there were more firings of people needed to keep us safe.

This time, it was FAA employees, who we obviously don't need because now that Trump is president no aviation incidents could ever happen.

Wait, I'm being told that there has been yet another major commercial aviation incident today, involving a Delta airliner that departed Minneapolis and crashed in Toronto. (No fatalities, miraculously.)

Yes, because they're the easiest to fire. But that's a stupid reason to get rid of them.

https://www.sfgate.com/travel/article/musk-doge-tapped-overhaul-air-traffic-control-20149118.php

"As many air travelers remain jittery about flying following the Jan. 29 midair crash of an American Airlines flight and a military helicopter near Washington, D.C., Elon Musk and his band of twenty-something DOGE techies are coming to the rescue. Sean Duffy, President Donald Trump's new transportation secretary, said on X this week that the DOGE team members "are going to plug in to help upgrade our aviation system." Musk confirmed the news, stating, "With the support of President @realDonaldTrump, the DOGE team will aim to make rapid safety upgrades to the air traffic control system." He added no details and did not explain how his DOGE employees, none of whom apparently have any aviation safety experience, might accomplish this. The website Wired reported this week that Musk's DOGE engineers are ages 19-24, with the youngest one still in college. They have been busily poking into the data centers of several government agencies in recent days, causing consternation among many in Washington about data security and illegal access."

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton responded to Duffy's post by observing that Musk's DOGE employees "have no relevant experience. Most of them aren't old enough to rent a car. And you're going to let them mess with airline safety that's already deteriorated on your watch?"

Now remember, their remit by the president is to find waste and fraud.

SO HOW THE HELL IS HE NOW PLUGGING INTO THE NATIONAL AVIATION SYSTEM??????

Conservatives have to step up and tell the guy they elected/support in his DOGE initiative, that they need to shut down KING Elon A.S.A.P. before he and his teen goon squad do something that costs lives

Gee, who could have foreseen this happening?

https://fortune.com/2025/02/18/doge-fired-fda-employees-overseeing-elon-musk-neuralink/

"The Department of Government Efficiency has reportedly eliminated the jobs of those overseeing Elon Musk's brain implant company Neuralink within the Food and Drug Administration, as part of President Donald Trump's mass culling of government jobs.

The firings over the weekend included about 20 employees who were part of the FDA's office of neurological and physical medicine devices, responsible for reviewing clinical trial applications of brain implant technology, including Neuralink, two anonymous sources told Reuters. The sources said they did not believe the employees assigned to review Neuralink were specifically targeted in the wave of firings."

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/musk-orders-us-federal-workers-report-work-or-get-fired-2025-02-22/

WASHINGTON, Feb 22 (Reuters) - The Trump administration sent emails on Saturday evening to U.S. federal government employees telling them to detail their work accomplishments from the previous week by Monday night or risk losing their jobs.

The emails came shortly after Elon Musk, the billionaire head of the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency, posted on the social media site X that not responding to the email request would be viewed as a resignation.

"All federal employees will shortly receive an email requesting to understand what they got done last week," Musk posted on X. "Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation."

Musk issued his post just hours after President Donald Trump posted on his own social media network, Truth Social, that DOGE should get more aggressive in its attempts to downsize and reshape the 2.3 million-strong federal workforce.

Note 1: The workers were supposed to reply to an HR email in the Office of Personal Management and copy their supervisor. Also, as a reminder, Trump ran on the "BUT HER EMAILS AREN'T SECURE!!" and "the dangers of compromising emails" platform in 2016.

Note 2: This was sent to ALL Federal employees, including people who work in jobs that deal in clearance level projects such as the CIA, FBI, Department of Defense, Homeland Security, etc.

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/some-us-agencies-tell-workers-not-reply-musks-what-did-you-do-last-week-email-2025-02-23/

- Multiple U.S. agencies have told employees not to respond immediately to a demand by President Donald Trump's adviser Elon Musk to list their accomplishments in the past week or be fired, as a chaotic campaign to cull the federal workforce pushes forward.

Trump administration-appointed officials at the FBI and State Department sent their staff emails telling them not to respond outside their chains of command - a possible sign of tension between members of the Republican administration and the world's richest person in his campaign to slash the 2.3 million-strong federal civilian workforce.

"The FBI, through the office of the director, is in charge of all our review processes," said FBI Director Kash Patel, a Trump appointee, in an email to staff seen by Reuters.

Workers at the departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Education and Commerce, as well as at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the National Institutes of Health and the Internal Revenue Service also were told not to respond pending further guidance, according to sources and emails reviewed by Reuters. Workers at intelligence agencies likewise will be told not to respond, according to a source.

"To be clear – this is irregular, unexpected, and warrants further validation," wrote a senior executive at the National Centers for Environmental Information, an agency that manages environmental data and is part of the Commerce Department.

The largest federal workers' union, the American Federation of Government Employees, wrote on social media on Sunday that it did not believe Musk has the authority to fire employees who do not respond and would formally request that OPM rescind the message.

Meanwhile, the union advised members to ask their supervisors directly whether to reply and to follow their guidance.

Some federal judiciary employees, including judges, also received the Saturday email from OPM, even though the court system is not part of the executive branch, the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts said.
The judiciary advised employees that no action should be taken in response to the message, according to an email reviewed by Reuters.

In some cases, employees were left unsure how to respond even if they chose to do so.
Some lawyers, for instance, expressed concern that their work is confidential.

Sounds to me Trump is trying to be fair with layoffs.  Make no mistake about this, Trump as president can fire at will... most states are fire at will meaning a employer can fire for no reason at all and employees can quit their job at will with no repercussions.

There are national guard personnel on deployment that have regular jobs in the gov. that are guaranteed their jobs when they return by law that being fired by Trump. that's pretty low.

Obviously you don't read your own post!

Yes the law says if you are on national guard deployment and be returned to your civilian job.  That's of course your job is still there.  The law says the employer can not replace you with another person.  It doesn't say if your position has been eliminated they have to give you a job.
