Got you beat!  I had two low back
Quote from: DoctorTaco on Mar 10, 2025, 09:53 AMThis is not true. I've been on SSDI for over 20 years due to a second back surgery that went wrong. This has resulted in other issues, mainly from nerve damage.

I've had to have a doctor sign a form several times that I'm disabled.

In 2023 I had to visit a SSDI doctor. I had to fill out a 10 page questionnaire and mail it back. Then the doctor did a full 40 minute interview and physical.

Every person's benefit is different. It is based on your income the last 3 or 4 years they worked. Yet, every person on SSDI can only make $1,550  per month in 2025, no matter if your monthly benefit is $1K or $3K. To supplement my benefit I've had a part-time job since 2006.

I injured my low back in 1994.  I kept working. In 2000 I hand my first operation.  I reinjured in 2008 second surgery 2011. Returned to work.  Two years later I reinjured it again. Wasn't failure of surgery it was my failure to limit my lifting and activity.  I didn't apply for SSI instead I was put on hydrocordone pain medicine that I still have to take four times per day just so I can walk. Yep back pain is no joke. Now that my heart is repaired I could return to work for the state at $8,500 per month but because of my low back pain there is no way.

If I was audited for my heart disability I would be happy they are auditing for fraud.

Was denied at age 63, told to retrain. lol.  Hard to stand on a ladder and work on live 480 volts when your leg goes numb from herniated disc.
So if you are on SSDI and can still work part time, that shouldn't be allowed.

While receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits, you can work part-time as long as your earnings remain below the Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA) limit, which is currently $1,620 per month.
Encouraging someone on Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) to work can offer several benefits:
  • Access to Work a trial work period so individuals can test their ability to work without immediately losing their benefits.
  • Improved Financial Stability which can provide additional income.
  • Skill Development. Working can help people to develop and maintain valuable skills.
  • Social Interaction can help reduce feelings of isolation and improve overall quality of life.
  • Enhanced Self-Esteem and Confidence can positively impact emotional well-being.
  • Health Benefits from  meaningful work can contribute to better physical and mental health. Working can promote a healthier lifestyle.

My GF has a 39 yr old son that is None Verbal Down Syndrome. Born that way of course. She still has to show proof every year that he still has Downs. Dumbest thing ever.
So all this Fraud nonsense is just a detraction from them stealing all your money with this crypto BS. Trump is doing the same thing that Sam Bankman-Fried got 25 years in prison.
ALL of OUR money that Trump put into crypto just fell 7%. Great investment, lose that much in 5  days. Fuckin idiot. No wonder he went bankrupt 5 times.

Johnson says. We need to get back to what the founding fathers wanted this country to be. You mean like not having a king, freedom of religion. Following the Constitution.

Here's Elon Musk on Fox Business today:

"The waste and fraud in entitlement spending ‒ which most of the federal spending is entitlements ‒ that's like the big one to eliminate. That's the, sort of, half trillion, maybe $600 or $700 billion a year."

So this prick with his elite levels of both arrogance and ignorance thinks he's going to find $600 billion in waste and fraud in Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Last year we spent about $2.4 trillion on those three programs. He's suggesting that 25 percent of that is waste and fraud.

I think we know who's a waste and a fraud. Get that fucker away from our money.

He's wasted most of the time.

Here's a video of Musk lying through his teeth about this. He follows up with another lie about how fraud in Social Security and Medicare is "a mechanism by which Democrats attract illegal immigrants, by essentially paying them to come here, and then turning them into voters."

Both of these statements are obviously false, as undocumented immigrants are estimated to pay about $12 billion annually into Social Security and Medicare but are not entitled to receive benefits.

As to voting, first they have to get a green card, which takes at least five years, then they have to apply to become citizens. It's a long process that could take a decade or more if it ever happens.

Quote from: DoctorTaco on Mar 10, 2025, 10:41 AMPer my Google search: While many SSDI beneficiaries cannot work due to their disability, a significant portion do work, and of those who do, a substantial number are employed part-time. In 2023, 29% of disabled workers worked part-time.

Yes there disabled working but are the fully disabled drawing social security?

You have to understand Musk's thinking. Giving entitlements is a waste.

That seems to actually be the case with him. He just decides what seems wasteful to him, and whack! lol

I doubt Musk is making things up.  I don't know why anyone would object to auditing our government spending unless they have something to hide.

I remember when Trump withheld his income tax information and Democrats raised he'll over it.

Musk isn't conducting an audit in any legitimate sense.

So, according to your logic, Trump objecting means he had something to hide, right?
