Quote from: Zep on Today at 10:21 AMIsnt this the same guy complaining about the price of beef during Biden's presidency? Now it's OK?, just got to wait..    The big tax cuts for billionaires will ignite inflation again, just like it did during Trumps first term.

Inflation was at its lowest during Trump first term. Inflation was coming down during Obamas last year in office.  Up until covid hit our economy was strong but covid changed that. Had covid not happened I have no doubt Trump would have been rejected his second term.  No I am not in favor of giving tax breaks to the rich. The middle class is the backbone of our economy not the rich.  The rich profit off the middle class. Personally I would like to see zero tax on incomes below $100,000.

Quote from: Hobby on Today at 09:50 AMYou like to put words in people's mouths to support your arguments.  I never said employees should not unionize now did I? I said the reason for saying bad performance could be that Union Contracts require a reason for termination. A union employee can not simply be fired without reasonable cause. Using bad performance is brilliant because the Union will have to review each employee personal record in order to disprove.  It will take them months and months. You can bet they will find a percentage of employees with bad performance records that should be fired.
Not to put words in your mouth, but it sounds like you're saying that firing people for poor performance (despite having no record of poor performance) is "brilliant" because you believe that tactic will skirt the protections legally afforded employees under a CBA.

But eventually some of the fired employees will sue the government for wrongful termination, and many of them will prevail. Now, tell me again how that tactic does anything other than inflict unnecessary damage to the government and to the fired employees and their families.

unfortunately this is going work just opposite.   I'm pissed I already paid my taxes. changed my deductions so I owe a lot next year and will not be paying. I suggest everyone do the same.

Just tap me on the head if I overstay my welcome

No point in discussing this anymore.  Come this October there will be thousands of federal workers removed from the federal civil service.  Even if an employee wins wrongful termination there will be no job for the employee to return to.  They aren't just firing employees, they are doing away with the job and even the department.  Complete overhaul of the federal government to make it more efficient and cost less...
