Now the Democrats in the Senate need to step up and do the same with Menendez, fair is fair.

Senator John Fetterman (D-Pa.) on Thursday called on the full Senate to vote on a resolution to expel Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) from the Senate in the wake of new charges asserting the New Jersey senator has acted as a foreign agent on behalf of Egypt. Link

Al Franken was pressured by his own party to resign, should they let Anthony Weiner back in?

I'm starting to like Fetterman, he's calling out the lefties in Congress who are anti-Semitic and the crooks.
Are we having fun yet?

His party pressured him because they fell victim to a right-wing smear campaign. It was all bullshit, but the optics were too much to overcome.

Weiner's behavior, by contrast, was legitimately scandalous. So the comparison is inapt.

What we're hearing: Some Democrats were concerned about the precedent of voting to expel Santos before either a conviction or an Ethics Committee report, several senior House Democrats told Axios. One of the Democrats, dismayed that dozens of their colleagues voted against the measure, called it "unreal" and "really weird." Democratic leadership did not make a recommendation on the Santos measure.Link

The House expels Rep. George Santos

The vote to expel was 311-114. Expulsion requires support from two-thirds of the House, a purposefully high bar, but a blistering House Ethics Committee report that accused Santos of breaking federal law proved decisive.

As it became clear that he would be expelled, Santos placed his overcoat over his shoulders, shook hands with conservative members who voted against his expulsion and departed the House chamber. Link

One of these guys has to fuck up royally to be expelled. It's happened only five times in history before this, and all the others were either convicted felons or members of the Confederacy. LOL

How do scumbags like him get elected?

Inadequate journalism?
Gullible voters?
Lack of candidates with an ounce of integrity?
